Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
I agree withj most of what you're saying, but this statement isn't wrong, but it's definetly misleading.
As any repeated pattern of *chance events continues, it's reversal becomes progressuvely imminent.
The reason that it's misleading is because as long as their's no damage to the mechanism creating the random event, then the chances of black coming out after it's come out 10 times is still 18 in 38. The reason we don't see it happen 50 times in a row is because the odds

Help me undertsand odds
If three odds are what I listed and the tickets printed were 5,292,000 (assumption), then is my calculation correct? i.e. there would 1.25, 1 and 0.8 tickets respectively for 100k,200k and 300K.
Seriously, you are like arguing with a retarded goat. You are not worth the time to even answer that.

Help me undertsand odds
Again, you just arent smarter than a 5th grader are ya?
Where is your original post does it show how many tickets prointed?
Here is your original post:
I really hope you arent referring to this:
$100,000
1 in: 4,233,600.00
$200,000
1 in: 5,292,000.00
$300,000
1 in: 4,233,600.00
If the odds of winning is listed as above. Does that mean
There would be 5,292,000/4,233,600; $100,000, 1.25 tickets
There would be $200,000, 1 ticket

Powerball 28 The Most overdue Red Ball
No, I meant that was one possibility, and I'm almost certain somebody has way overplayed the PB 28. I'm not assuming that everybody will come to those conclusions, I'm saying any conclusion you come up with will only be accurate as often as the odds dictate, or close to it.
What me and Jimmy are trying to say - is that whatever you conclude based on pass draws gives you neither an advantage nor a disadvantage.

Return on Investment
my belief is that scratchers have better percentage and good for a few dollars ( instant gratification). the reality of it is that if your not in the right place, you're never gonna win the jackpot. there might be 5 grand prizes left in the game but if the packs are being sent across the state ( who knows, random) you have zero chance of hitting.
on the other hand, online games like powerball, odds= lol. 3,4 picks are where you might be able to make money by reducing numbers and playing heav

Dang Skeptic, sorry to hear that. I've said it before and I'll say it again: something about the re-released Gold Rush didn't sit well with me. In the past I won $500 on that games many of times. Since the new release I only won $500 1 time. I was buying them like crazy too trying to find a Gold Bar. Once I finally found it a week ago I was done. Something wasn't right.
I agree on the GR Tripler, I hope it has the same odds on the $500

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
Nope, it's totally OK - I've got no objective interest in the method. I was under the assumption that it was a wagering method, which I can already tell you would fail the test. It's quite obviously not that simple. So in that case, I can't prove it wrong but that still doesn't change the fact that it probably isn't correct. Different strokes for different folks.
I don't have much of an interest in doing what you're talking about. I'd make the arguement that you're supposed friend has ju

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
Sure humans can think abstractly, but don't mistake that for being able to predict events that have no relation to any other event, that's derived from something like ping pong balls floating around in a cylinder. As long as each ball has the same odds of showing up (they aren't tampered with) then it's completely random, you can't change your expected return, except for by picking a good assortment of numbers (non-sequential, some numbers above 31, etc.)
I actually usually get self pick

malie sounds like you had a good hit on the Treasure Hunt WTG to you too!! That's not a bad game, I wait until it's up over about $60,000 and play
at $100,000 for sure.
Cash 5 wasn't a bad game at all either - until they changed the odds.
Good luck!!

Thanks very much rizz ! I see where you can put any Florida scratch game on Google followed by emergency rules and get a ton of information about the odds for all prizes and combinations. How the heck did you come up with that ? It would be great if the florida lottery - or some other site - would show remaining prizes (weekly or daily) on each scratch off besides the TOP prizes. That way we would know - say, how many $1,000 etc prizes are left. It would sure help us picking out a scratch knowin
