Wat's the best printer to print play slips
I recall when the Texas lottery was new a group tried to buy every possible combination of numbers. This was at a time when the odds were much better and the jackpot was high. If I recall correctly, they spent millions of dollars and didn't win the jackpot. I think the rule is meant to prevent such schemes. The Oklahoma lottery (I read through their rules once) prohibits a retailer from knowingly selling anyone a combination of tickets that would ensure a win (or something similar to that). T

Wat's the best printer to print play slips
diamonpalace Not a power ball player, sometimes I do buy a QP when it reaches a large jp but the odds are just to great for me to attempt system play. RL

Mathematics and the Lottery
If and when RB28 does come up, it will never show a 1/39 chance of ever coming up for this matrix even if it's doesn't change for a couple of years. Sometimes even an obvious pattern does effect how lottery players pick their numbers. These kinds of observations lend support to what I've been repeatedly saying, and that is that you CAN affect the DISTRIBUTION of your winnings through your selections AND, in Parimutuel payoff games, you can actually increase your odds [a little] by avoiding

Winning Lotto ticket survives washing machine
double dose of luck there. One dose for the win; another for the ticket not getting destroyed in the wash I wonder what the odds are of a ticket surviving a washing machine?

Post your scratch ticket results
Welcome and good luck! I would set a budget, avoid the $1 games unless you want to fill a purchase out or the other tickets aren't doing anything, and check your state's website for the latest info. on remaining prizes and odds. Today I avoided the $10s (only one winner lately and that was $10 on Stack of Cash #024.) Only got a few $2s which produced $2. I was shicked Giant had the beginning of the roll of Power 7s - they were busy. I got #000, 001, 002. #001 won $40, so I made a profit for t

Questions about Premium memberships.
Having paid membership does allow more access to the available web tools on this site. Some of the standard membership web tools seemed to be pushing players to get gold/platinum membership to use the tools, while the rest offers limited choice as samples. No paid membership needed to win all you need is luck. There are other sites that offer a lot that this site does not have, and they're free. Supporting the site by getting paid membership does help to keep the site up and running. Stand

POLL - Will You Buy $2 Lottery Tickets?
I don't play unless it goes way up there. I 'lost my lunch' because I don't see the need to change and it all boils down to more money collected. I think the odds are horrible on either of the games..MM, PB Switching things around like they did would not make me want to play more..or run out and start playing every week either. Good luck to whoever plays!

Mathematics and the Lottery
RL, I liked your examples and your post to dr san. I've been playing these games for a long time and I've probably won more than some, but I've also lost my share too. I think most of the time people are lucky if they can win 10% back of the money they play to win in the long run. I've stuck to the daily games since I like better odds. In the short run I can get ahead, but then a cold spell cancels that out. It's just enough that I stay in the game. I've used test sets with key numbers. One o

POLL - Will You Buy $2 Lottery Tickets?
Maybe. It really depends on how they change the game. If for example, all the higher prizes get a boost of at least 2x the prize now, with the powerplay helping out even more, the probably, because I usually just buy one line, for 2 bucks now... I'll wait and see how it is. I usually don't play Powerball much anyway, so chances are I'll still play, but that's assuming it's a better buy than it is now. If I do the odds, and find them to be a worse return on the dollar than Powerba

Powerball lottery jackpot increased to $180 million
Too bad we don't have something like Euromillions where the advertised jackpot IS the actual amount. Advertising the annuitized jackpot is like consumer packaging that states in the small print: Enlarged to show detail or Serving Suggestion . In other words, what is shown is not exactly what you get. How many winners elect to take the annuitized amount? Very few to none it appears. When the recently won Euromillion jackpot was advertised at 185,000,000 euros, that's what it was.
