Don't y'all ever get mad when...
I voted yes, Your poll stated when someone wins, wins what? Because just yesterday we had a work party raffle and my friend won the prize I wanted. I started jumping up and down and fell to the floor kicking and screaming, I finally had to be sedated. Dang, I really wanted those chip clips.

New York Lotto
You're welcome Elina. Yeah, last nite nobody won second place, so it went from about $26,000 to $56,000. Second place carries odds of 3.7 million to 1, so unless 2nd place gets big, the 2nd place prize sucks too unless it gets big. I have seen it get to over $300,000. (Which isn't all that great given the odds. Sweet Million used to have odds of 3.8 million to 1 to win a million dollars) Personally, I like raffles the most, but don't look to NY for a raffle. Connecticut and Pennsylvania ha

Post your scratch ticket results
A group of 15 co-workers and I pitched in for a couple raffle tickets a while back and we won the top prize- a full book of $10 Mass Lottery Scratch Tickets- the newest game, 4 Million Jackpot. We all got together last night to scratch em up. Out of the 100 tickets in the book 29 winners, 71 losers. We got back a total of $635. Not bad, could have been worse. Ended up with $40 each. There were two $100 winners in the book, one $50, one $25 winner and the rest were all $20/$15/$10 winners. Wou

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
I think I'm missing something here. To me, a RNG is a computer program that's used to generate a line of numbers to be printed on a quick pick ticket for an online lottery game prior to a drawing. RNG's aren't involved/used for player picks. So I'm confused with regard to Ron's comment. Are the winning ticket numbers for each prize category in the raffle generated/created by a RNG? I would think that the winning tickets would be randomly selected/drawn out of a pool consisting only of the

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
Great historical info CW. Thanks! As I said in my post, I can't for the life of me see a valid/good reason why it would be the case that tickets sold later in the selling cycle have fared so much better, but the fact remains they have. Do you suppose many players have seen/heard this, and that's the reason why they hold off until just before the deadline to buy their tickets? While I cant say with any degree of certainty, it does seem to me that this happens in Connecticut too. As you and

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
Good question ... thanks for confirming that, I thought I might be having a problem on my end. Maybe they are updating ... I know people have mentioned that they were able to buy raffle tickets at a discount ... I have never had the chance, always have paid $20 ... perhaps they have marked them down, even a smaller amount of money is still profit at this stage. Just the people that already paid the full price lose out a little. If anyone wins a million dollar prize with a discounted ticket
