Which book should I buy ?
The reason I am inclined on the $3 tickets is that I have had $50 , $40 , $10 and $3 wins in a 7 ticket span before. That is 34% of the price of the entire book accounted for from just 7% of tickets. The $1 is a waste of money and so is 2 probably. And I have heard horror stories on $5 books. You are looking at 10 winners max from the book based on odds alone. Where as from the $3 books you are looking at around 25 winning tickets. Overall I think the $3 games have the best return procent

The Color of Money (New Scratch-FL Lottery)
Me too, I avoided Black Pearls. I think partly because I got burned on FL Black too. I also, think I shouldn't have played the NBA MAgic and instead could have maybe sent all the money towards finding the last Golden Goose jackpot. (even tho I dont love that game either but might have felt better searching for 250K rather than hoping for a stinky basketball and only a chance at 100K on NBA.) For some reason I'm drawn to the coming 10.00 ticket Color of Money. (at least from the print out I sa

Missouri Senate to discuss privatizing state lottery
A couple of things - governments are made up of people, just like corporations. There are certainly smart people in government, just as there are some idiots in the private industry. Don't be so quick to dismiss the experience of public employees just because they work for the government. Secondly - there are a number of people in every state who don't favor the Lottery. Usually, it's because they make money from a segment of the population who may not be wise with how they spend their money

Post your scratch ticket results
When I look at all the tickets they have printed I get discouraged. I never played FL Black. (I'm so glad I never did). Also I've never played Black Pearls for the same reason. Too many tickets. The lottery does put out 1 winner at 000 to encourage others to play, but the winner could be anywhere. Better odds playing Fantasy 5

Maryland Lottery Pick 4 drawing generates huge payout
Thats exactly the point I was making. Many of the people who pick the easy numbers such as 1-2-3-4-5 will end up splitting it with many people if it hits. If those same people just picked a different set (2-14-23-27-33) for example, they would be splitting it with many less people. That was my point. The odds are indeed the same across the board, but if you are going to play the same #s every day, why not pick a more unique set? Thats why they are not appealing to me

Gail Howard's Charts, how to reference?
Thanks for the quick reply. I am just playing 5/42. Going for something like 4/90 is too much luck involved as the odds go up drammatically. Jackpots rarely exceed 1/2 a million euros here but for me are enough. To be honest if i ever win my biggest wish is to escape office hours hehe (assuming i ll survive the shock) Anyway its only a drawing per week (a wednesday). So its not that much. I know in the States drawing are more frequent and the jackpots reach Biblical proportions.

Hi Everyone...Need help with our Lottery Club in Florida
We have a lotto club with $200.00 a month to buy lotto tickets. What is the best way to break it down? Should we buy Fl lotto, Mega Money, or Fantasy 5? Or some of each. How many tickets of each game would you buy for the best odds? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wanttowinnow

How many numbers do you wheel?
Picking 18 out of 36 numbers doesn't give you a 50% chance of getting 5 numbers right within your 18. The first ball drawn will have a 50% chance of matching one of your digits, the next will have a 17/35 chance, the next will have a 16/34 chance, and so on. If you multiply all of it together, you get 8568/376992 or about a 2.273% chance of getting 5 numbers right. And that's within your 18 numbers. Chances are you'll have 2 or 3 right numbers. When you get lucky, you could have 4 or 5, when you
