I cant wait to get to work today to see how my T5 buddy (Phil) did last night! If he didn't hit anything and because I hit for 20 bucks, I'm gonna hammer him!!! I told him not to do QP's, but did he listen to me????? He never does listen to me. The thing is, in 2004 he hit T5 for four numbers (his biggest hit ever) and I've never done that. Phil never ever lets me forget the fact that he's hit four numbers. Sometimes I wish that old fool would retire.
Phil's in the pool that I run to buy Penn

New York instant scratch off tickets - new tickets with less odds to win
There is no second chance raffle for this game. Someone in the lottery commission messed up big time with this game. Do they really think that people will shell out ten bucks for a 1 in over 800 chance of winning sixty bucks???
And the top prize is $500,000. Even the five dollars cards have a million dollar top prize.
I've seen very few people buy this card and hopefully this limited edition will go away soon.

Idaho's MegaMillions Promo
Yeah I'd be extremely happy with a 9 mil cash prize too. But MM feels like such a long shot to me. It's been ages since I've matched even one number. When I check my MM tickets I sorta lose the will to live.
So the promo would be more like paying $5 for a 1 in 800 chance of winning $1000.
Of course if I won that, I'd spend a couple hundred of the thousand on another entry or two into the St Judes dream home raffle.

Taxes and Casino Wins
If you have ever won a significant prize at a casino, you know you will be given a W-2 G form to report your wins. It is like a regular W-2 you get at work but the G stands for a gambling win, hence W-2 G. Since you can write off losses up to wins it is a good idea to hold on to evidence of loss. ATM receipts, or in the case of lottery or scratch offs, losing tickets. If you do not report a win, you cannot write off losses...thats why it is said losses UP TO wins.
You have heard of people sel

Very interesting information, lothob! Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Not sure if it is fair to mark the province down from A+ to A because of the Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize draw. This is not a real lottery draw, it is more like a raffle draw, where one ticket holder wins, regardless of the numbers on the ticket. Charities and such throw all the tickets in a big drum, stir them up and someone reaches in a picks a winner, but with 6/49 there are millions of tickets sold each draw. So

Pennsylvania Lottery adds multi-state Cash4Life game
With the instant tickets and the Millionaire Raffle twice per year PA has so many choices.
I believe it's too many personally. So what I don't like, I don't play. But I really wish
they'd stop adding.
That's the point! Players can choose which games, if any, they want to play. Just because more choice is offered, it does not mean people have to play all games offered.

Illinois lottery director calls it quits
The odds aren't so hot if you consider that in lotto $1 or $2 can win anything from $2M to tens or hundreds of millions.
A $20 raffle ticket that wins $2M wins $100,000 per dollar, if it wins $1M it wins $50,000 per dollar.
The pot ain't right.

For weshar-Oregon's MegaBucks
And the jackpot rolls to 10.2 mil...
Have one more draw on this ticket that expires on valentine's day... Was hoping powerball would have still been rolling, so I could pick up some tickets as I was rolling through, but it wasn't meant to be... Will pick up a few tickets for the saint patrick's day raffle instead...
