Using math to develop winning strategies
As most of us know, the lottery was adjusted to thwart all efforts to win by systems. Back when it started, there was a marginal level of player ingenuity which afforded one a slight advantage against the salient odds. Today, that advantage is non-existent. However, there actually IS a formula to maximize your chances of winning: First, you have to stick with a set of numbers that results from this formula. Second, you'll be playing for quite awhile before you win anything. Third, faith is your

New Jersey lottery turns 40 with record $2.6B in revenue
The New Jersey Lottery sold a state record $2.6 billion in tickets for fiscal year 2010, an impressive number considering the state is in the midst of an historic recession.
It's also impressive because the New Jersey Lottery, which turns 40 in December, continues to be an economic force in a state desperate for cash. Even after all this years, for better or worse, the lottery remains a growth industry.
The lottery is a recession-proof business, says Carole Hedinger, acting executive dire

What's with NY Sweet Million??
Yes, just as I said before, because of the deep-rooted habit of buying Mega Million without Megaplier in New York, and a relative lack of promotion of Powerplay (I think there should be a buy 5 Powerplay get 2 free given the low sales ratio of Powerplay relative to the total Powerball ticket sales), people are just not aware of the existence of Powerplay, and if they really match 5+0, they may regret they lose $800,000 for just a cost of $1.
According to wikipedia page on Mega Millions, it is

Winning at Lotto : Luck vs. Intelligence
Poker skills are about reading the other players, knowing how to play your hand, and understanding the odds. The best player in the World can get unlucky with bad beats but overall their skills will allow them to win more than they lose. The World Series of Poker is known for the main event where this years winner got over $8 million. He isn't a top pro and it's actually been years since a top pro has won the main event but the World Series of Poker consists of over 50 tourneys and you'll find t

Lotto analysis of Cash 25 (WV)
When you do an analysis of the last 2000 drawings of Cash25 you notice that all 25 numbers have hit in 7-36 previous drawings mostly 13 previous drawings. Also all 6 winning numbers hit in 2-36 previous drawings mostly 7 previous drawings. For the next drawing all 25 numbers have hit in the last 8 drawings and when that happened in the past the numbers that hit 1-2 times hit most, not the hot numbers. In fact when you look at the last 1000 drawings numbers that hit 1-2 times in the previous 8

Porn shop lottery winner doesn't reveal himself
LIKE THEY SAY IT TAKES ONE SINGLE TICKET TO WIN BIG.
Unless there are multiple tickets sold with the winning numbers, only one ticket can win whether players buy tickets one at a time or by the thousands. Obviously it only takes one ticket to win but I don't see any significants or logic behind saying players have a better chance of winning by only buying one ticket. There is no difference between a player buying a QP and hoping those numbers are drawn than another player picking numbers an

Would you agree - Pick 3 is played by poor people mainly
I'm just asking a question because I have read or heard this several times and would like to know how true is it. I think many people really don't know that it's one of the easiest game to win. The odds are more in your favor vs. the other games. It may pay out less but if you know what you are doing than it can work for you and pay out much more. The question is - Do you really know what you are doing?
Do that thang, do it.

A National Lottery During Our Lifetime
Too many winners may defy the whole purpose of a National Lottery. Folks from different states will win and it will be like regular individual state lotteries.
The goal is for me to win like a billion bucks. The odds will be 317 billion to one.
Pick a combo from 72.4 billion combinations and cross my fingers....lol
