Illinois lottery director calls it quits
The odds aren't so hot if you consider that in lotto $1 or $2 can win anything from $2M to tens or hundreds of millions.
A $20 raffle ticket that wins $2M wins $100,000 per dollar, if it wins $1M it wins $50,000 per dollar.
The pot ain't right.

For weshar-Oregon's MegaBucks
And the jackpot rolls to 10.2 mil...
Have one more draw on this ticket that expires on valentine's day... Was hoping powerball would have still been rolling, so I could pick up some tickets as I was rolling through, but it wasn't meant to be... Will pick up a few tickets for the saint patrick's day raffle instead...

$HALF-BILLION! Powerball raised again on monster sales
Do you really think 1 or 104 tickets makes that big of a difference when there are 175,000,000 possible numbers? What you're saying would make sense in a raffle, but not the lottery where there is such a high number of possibilities.
Whether it's 1 line for each draw of the year or 104 lines for one draw, your chances of winning are pretty much the same. If you have $416 you want to use for research, go buy 104 lines for tonight, and then a single line ticket for tonight and for the following

Take5 NY
I took them 39 bunk-ola's and stuck 'em in my wallet!
The gang at work was buggin' me today to collect for Mega tomorrow nite, so I took out my weapon to win (Lotto Stats) and picked me some numba's.... I figured why not? If can hit T5 for 39 bucks using Lotto Stats, I sure as hell can hammer the crap outta Mega with it.
PS Maybe I'll whip over to Connecticut and git me some SuperDraw 50/50 raffle tix. They's 5 bunks each, and come February 1st somebody gonna win a big pile of money. And

Montana's $1M lottery raffle winner sued for half of prize
A regular at the Town Pump in East Helena, Montana, is suing 23-year-old Jeff Fallang, who recently hit a $1 million jackpot and has not given the plaintiff a cut.
Michael Hess said he went to the store to purchase Montana Millionaire tickets on Dec. 23, and told Fallang if he won, he'd split his winnings, according to documents filed in Helena district court Thursday. Fallang, who was on shift, asked Hess if he could buy a ticket from him.
I then told Jeff I would as long as if he was to

Spain's El Niño lottery spreads $663M in winnings
What I wish would be included in the articles is the odds of winning that top prize. It gives a reader some perspective.
I dug up some info. 100,000 tickets are printed at 200 each (each ticket can be sold as 10 decimas). Most players choose to buy single decimas so they pay 20.
I think the PA Millionaire raffle is better when comparing top prizes odds.

Ohio New Year Raffle
I've been posting about the PA Raffle ... used to live very close to the Ohio state line but no longer or I would drive over and buy a ticket.
How many total tickets are sold and how much are they?

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Go to Pa lottery site. Click Winners then scroll down to where the games are. Click Millionaire Raffle ..
Click whatever year and it will post the winners first name and last initial as well as their city/state. Doesn't say where
exactly they purchased though.
This lottery post forum is a joke for posting links or pics to show you.

States pull the plug on Monopoly Millionaires' Club
That's the deadline for the second drawing. There were over 250 winners selected for the first Vegas tv show trip drawing. Could be a lot of upset winners when the show doesn't happen, or is abbreviated, or is a farce with the chance of winning anything meaningful slim to none.
In my view, MMC should give all 250+ winners of the first draw the option of taking the Vegas trip -or- cash in lieu of, plus $10,000 cash each. And hold a raffle choosing a $1 million dollar winner out of the group. M

Monopoly Millionaires game
The hot lotto game available in a few states is an advertised tax free jackpot. The taxes are
getting paid but at least the advertised jackpot is what you get. No homework/guess work involved.
I think the monopoly games should be transformed into a weekly $5 raffle game with a guarenteed
xx amount of millionaires based on xx amount of sales.
