Define A System That Works...
My clarification needs clarification... Above, I should have said, In PA, you must win more than 2 Box bets in 166 to come out ahead, dollarwise. Beating odds and winning money are not the same thing. The Expected Value of a wager is the Probability of Winning multipled by the Payoff if you Win. EV = P(WIN) * Payoff

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
Truth is most lottery players don't care about systems or strategies to beat the odds. Systems and strategies are the tools of players who's hobby is playing lotteries. RJOH (I totally agree with you it doesn't matter what the naysayers or skeptics think if a person has won money using a system, software or strategy then it WORKED for them.Especially if they tried many other methods like quick-picks,lucky numbers or selecting numbers randomly on a playslip if you NEVER won that way bu

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
Let's take the P-3 as an easy example. Last night's Florida evening winning number was 139. 139 has an equal chance of coming out tonight again, but I'll bet you 100 bucks that it won't. How can I possibly make such a bold claim?....It's called trends, patterns, and probability. Based on past experience, I know very well that the possibility of 139 repeaing tonight is extremely rare. It has happen many times in the past, but it's something like a 1% chance, maybe 2%, not sure. You call that a

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
This thread may have exposed what really is a winning system, that is a system that losses the least amount of money when actually played which would make a $1 QP or PP the winning-est systems of them all. There were no winners or losers since its purpose was to answer statistically the question Does a player with knowledge of past drawings have an advantage picking his own numbers and combinations over QPs? . We may never know but apparently no one cares. I won't be changing the way I pla

Vacationing man wins $1M scratch-off lottery jackpot
Congratulations to the winner, I hope that you will have enough to not only pay off your mortgage and purchase a new car, but also be able to enjoy additional expendatures. I am not sure if the states that do these 'unpublished' annuitized $1M, $2M, and $3Million dollar prizes are counting on people's stupidity or what. Many people play these annuitized jackpot prizes though, since some people track odds and they appear better than on-line games. I know that in Illinois, I go to the state's

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
anyone else think it unreasonable of me to do a 46 against 46 combo straight up comparative? Vision, I think all Stack said if he bought 46 lines with all 46 megaballs and you bought 46 QP's, he knows for sure he will have at least a $2 winner 0+1 and you may do better or worst but you won't know until after the drawing. Nothing unreasonable about that. Since the overall odds of a win is 1:35, you can reasonable expect to do as well or better with 46 QP's.

odds of winning
where you quote 39x38x37 that is correct if you want to get the exact order of drawn numbers, ie 1st ball drawn is a 5, it is indeed 1 in 39, but if the order isnt important then there are 5/39 odds for 1st ball. and then 4/38 for second ball. 3 of 37 balls. etc. math is something like, 39x38x37x36x35 / 5x4x3x2x1

Are you amaze to see some of the same people win jackpots again and again
How many such cases do you have knowledge of? And what were the odds of winning a jackpot in each type of game? Winning a Pick5(5/39) jackpot three times is easier than winning a PB(5/59+1/39) jackpot once. One is 1:575757 x 3 = 1:1727241 and the other is 1:195249054 x 1 People spend different amounts trying to win a jackpot, the person that spends more usually win and lose more. There are too many variables that stories about multiple winners don't cover. If some one won the PB or MM jac
