How much you think the Powerball Inventor got: After all is he who invented it
Pumpi,
From A History of Gambling in the United States from a California government website (click on the link at the end for more info);
Lotteries Begin Their Resurgence. From 1894 to1964, there were no legal government-sponsored lotteries operating inthe United States. This ban led to a paradox: lotteries were widelyplayed, but always illegal. One of the most well known was the Irishsweepstakes which began in 1930 for the purpose of raising money forhospitals in Ireland. Although it was

I am so happy we are all winning today... The funny thing about today is this, I knew the 60 pair was coming and told people to play it yesterday but it did not fall until today... Well I went to go and play my numbers today without doing any workouts and thought I was playing only my pets cause I was so busy today... Well I guess the card I ran was from yesterday that had 061 on it and behold I won today... I almost threw it in the trash can...... What are the odds on that??????? I am so happy

What Should Your State Do To Improve The Lottery?
TSC,
Everytime you write about that crappy $20K initial payout for your Pick 5, I want to fly down there and choke your lottery officials. The Odds of that are so high I think that is an seriously unfair payout amount. How high have you seen it grow? I think the highest I've ever seen our Fantasy Five grow to is about $317K but they said it can go to $500K.
Maybe Texas should invite the lottery officials of other states to a Lottery seminar, with California and Idaho in the front row takin

What Should Your State Do To Improve The Lottery?
State: WA
I would like to see more games with better odds. As for computers, well it's hard to trust something that can be programmed like the print feature of a QP v Betslip tickets at the counters self-serve kiosks. Two different printing speeds are a software feature to discourage using betslips, after all, don't most people play QP?
Hurry up MR.! We got to get our QP's!!!
QP has a new meaning here, Quick Print.

Fla Fantasy 5 hottest number combinations to use and other tipZ
Did you see the 2010 Payouts, They are exactly @ 50% Profit in every single Draw. Total Sales to Total Prize Pool. Of Course 90% of the winners are going to come from Quick picks as 90% of the people do not bother calculating odds or figuring out smart Picks. Also with QPs they have total Control assuming Its Fixed in some way.
But its good to see 6 People are $33,000 richer.
Good Luck !!!

A question about lotto system odds
A system for reducing the odds on matching all 6 numbers chosen out of a field of 49? No. However if you're talking about a system to minimize the number of tickets required to cover all 5 number combinations then it's possible but this really doesn't improve your chances but rather avoids the risk of inadvertently making your chances worse.
For example, if you bought the following ticket:
1 2 3 4 5 6
It would cover the following six five number combinations.
1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 6

A question about lotto system odds
RJOH,
The chart savagegoose posted was about cutting the odds of hitting 6 of 6 in half.
LANTERN,
Who plays 17,500 lines each draw? And as for how many times 17,500 lines would have to be played before winning a jackpot, the person would go broke in the attempt if they didn't hit right away.

Lotto Maxims
Your lucky numbers for Powerball or Mega Millions could come in once in a lifetime.
The odds however, are against them coming in in your lifetime.
And that sucks.
I'm calling the ACLU.
