VisionDude, I'm sure pick3 players have done the math also. They know the odds of hitting a number straight is 1:1000 and the odds of hitting a number boxed is 1:220 or better. If you pick 22 numbers which are not a boxed forms of one of the other numbers than the odds of getting a boxed or straight hit is 1:10 each drawing. What I meant in the second statement was you seem to get off by continuesly insisting that people who play the lottery using some sort of system suffer from a fallacy which is rooted in not having the nessary math skills or understanding. Excitement at 9 digit jackpots has faded. The daily pick 3 typically pays 500 on odds of 1:1000 (000-999). Depends on where you play, legal or otherwise I suppose.
