Michigan's website says their drawing will be on Jan 6th or after. They have over 230,000 tickets left out of 600,000 so it's probably gonna be after. They seem to have the best odds of winning a million though at 1 in 100,000.

Just one week and two days before the drawing! I just called the Ohio Lottery and they said as of last night that 219,972 have been sold, so there is still 280,028 available. It will be interesting to see if they sell out. Also, I started saving $20 again as of this payday for next year and as long as I continue to save $20 per payday (which I plan on doing) then I'll have $520.00 saved for next years raffle and I can purchase 26 tickets by this time next year. I have had the same luck... it is simple, people win, they tell people... who then go and spend money. they win and they tell people that they won... Excellent post *marcie..yea i think of this kind of hit ALL the time !! theres just 2 main factors 1) these ppl have the money to burn ( because we all know its just a gamble and yr gambling for the risk of losing it ALL or hitting - where usually the odds will be against you ) 2) some how these players have a real good intuition ! - and they GO ON IT ! But yes its so unbelievable with this kind of win--- and for the record I myself knew a woman where i used to work and sitting with her one day

Yea he might not be real happy about paying the taxes especially since he's from north Carolina and he played in VA so he will owe tax in both states. However 100,000 before taxes for 20 bucks is about the only investment one could make that would give this amount of return of money. No other investment for 20 buck scan give this amount of return for the game he played. He beat the odds congrats to him. As much as i hate taxes I'll take 50 grand for 20 bucks any day.

Q. When does the New Year s Raffle drawing occur? A. The New Year s Raffle drawing will occur on Saturday, January 2, 2010. The drawing date will not be extended.
