Logistic map RNG to win?
I've done a ridiculous amount of study in this area in my efforts to develop a strategy to win the every four minute computer drawn keno game here in NY. Experimented with several self invented conversion formulas. I'm college educated (not a math major) but can only barely grasp conceptually much of the information in these types of articles.
I feel that while the seed changes, proportionate sequences occur. This gives you an opportunity to set a trap/s using a recurring sequence..thus hopef

How are odds calculated?
Most of the Pick 5's, 6's, MM, PB, etc. can be calculated using a simple nCr function on a calculator or excel which means from n choose r does this nCr= n!/(n-r)!*r!
This gives you an equation that calculates if you choose r numbers from n available it has x odds...
I.E. (For Example) MegaMillions 5 out of 56 = C(56,5) = 56! / 5! (56 - 5)! = 3,819,816 1 out of 46 = 46, therefore 3,819,816 * 46 = 175711536
There's your outcome... Hope that helps, Pogo

New game: NY Sweet Million
And of course it was a QP that won.
I had the following numbers
7 11 17 22 31 37 so, hit 2 and of the 30's I missed by one on EACH!!!
and what are the odds that the 36 hits 3 times out of 4???? Plus the 22 repeated from last time also!

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
Thank you, that's an interesting idea but I've not found a way of picking the winning megaball numbers that beats the odds and as such in the long run I would average about the same picking one number as picking 20 for each drawing.
it's a nice payday (of course, divided by 10 doesn't do much for your wallet).
Remember that works both ways, you pay 10% of the cost for tickets so get 10% of the winnings or 10% of the lost.
Speaking of tenacity, I read Jim395 post in the jackpot forum Th

I'm tired of NCEL's silly tactics....its obvious that the ODDS are stacked against even with the most highly advanced computer statistics program...

I may crash and burn but here are my two favorite #'s for tonight:

Which One Makes More Sense?
If you goal is to spend only two dollars then you can't lose.
But if you are planning to beat the jackpot games you got to be prepared.
The odds are against you, you have to be very patients, enjoy playing for the seek of playing and pray you get a good system.

Wheeled systems
Many thanks for your response BobP - much appreciated - but what I am looking to do is make up one part of a system that I am building up (for a 'pick 6' lottery in Australia), and this segment requires the best combination of 3 from 20 (I know the full odds are long). I may increase it to 4 picks from 30 sels (or even reduce it to 2 picks from say 16 sels), but initially I need a good abbreviated wheel combination of 3 from 20 before I take the matter further.
The wheels that seem to be avai
