to win: is it dumb luck or does planning work
In my experience, certain numbers play more often than other numbers. And certain numbers play in certain positions more often than other positions and other numbers. For me, the challenge is finding the COMBINATION of the numbers playing at a certain time and position that will win. For Pick 3, 179 has played in the Tx midday draw 10 times, more often than any other combo. Tx evening draw it's 500 and 543, which played 13 times each. If I was playing P3, I would just ride those numbers.

New report criticizes Iowa Lottery security
Report claims lottery not investigating fraud complaints
The state ombudsman issued a report Tuesday alleging Iowa Lottery officials have failed to adequately protect the enterprise's customers from fraud and theft by retailers.
Iowa Citizens' Aide/Ombudsman Bill Angrick said his review of three years' worth of lottery investigations found numerous customer complaints where leads went unexplored and potential crimes were not pursued.
And, Angrick said in a 210-page report, even when the

If you claim Big Win Anonymously Do you sign ticket or not...
Even in the states that do allow winners to remain anonymous, they still publish name of the store where the ticket was sold and the location. And the name of the winner becomes public record after the ticket is validated so even there it's not fully anonymous. While everything you've suggested it sound advice, I wouldn't wait too long to validate the ticket because after a few weeks the store owner might believe the player didn't know they had the winning ticket and might start checking surveil

How do you feel about buying a whole roll of tickets?
What you said is:
so if you look you are gauranteed 3 - $10 , 2 - $15, 4 - $20 per a roll which adds to $140. the odds of winning in this particuliar game is 1 in 3.12 so that puts it at 9 winners per a roll. so lets say you buy a roll and have an $500 dollar winner the chances are you would finish with $640.
I disagreed with that statement. When it comes to gambling you are not guarenteed anything. You and your family members may very well have had the luck you described, but in no w

How many of you feel discouraged when more states join PB or MM?
The state lotteries are getting greedy and stupid. They are bound and determined to dilute and ruin the games. It is easier to dilute and ruin than it is to come up with better games to attract the players.
The odds are too high already and when they go higher I will quit.
What next? Will we be able to play any states in-state games? How about being able to buy tickets from anywhere in the world from your states terminal?

That's what happens when they add a state though.
Peope get excited over the promise of bigger jackpots. The Possible $500,000,000 Jackpot with the addition of California to Mega Millions hasn't happened yet, not even close.
I rhink I'd rather see a third multi-state entity (something beyond the three state Win for Life) than I would anymore Powerball or Mega Million expansions.
Teh already near impossible odds just get ridiculous.

What do you prefer
NC had such low amounts for winning scratch-offs, that Virginia and South Carolina scratch-offs were more popular in NC.
However, they did listen and changed the odds to be better. However, the biggest I've ever won is $14 - and I was pretty excited about that since I was expecting only $7 (it got doubled).
I've definitely spent more than that on scratch-offs, but I play them, maybe two every other month. The lower the cost, the better I've won (woohoo - I won $2!!).

Powerball and Mega Millions in every state
Well it looks like previous news reports are coming true. Pretty soon all lottery states will be offering Mega Millions and Powerball at the same time.
But how will these games increase at all will this many potentail players. We will have what 280,000,000 people playing these games. If they don't increase the odds how will the jackpots ever get high again. I mean look at now, we haven't seen a large jackpot in a very long time.

What do you prefer
I dislike them all except for the P5 games. The P3 and P4 games are not life changing. What one can win with those games won't do much more than pay for a good steak dinner for the family.
As for PB and MM, the odds are just too great. Unless the jackpot is extremely high, I see no advantage in throwing a dollar their way.
Now the 5/39 game, in most states, is different. Win the one in Illinois or George and you might pay off the mortgage or buy a new car. $100,000 + is a lot of money; en
