My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
RL-RANDOMLOGIC, In my continuing quest to understand how to ...learn what is being said here,,, I'm forced to ask another question. Just what are your ODDS, and could you please explain how your latest response above relates to your earlier explanation of probability, which I quote here, for your convenience, RL-RANDOMLOGIC, You said, Wake UP jimmy!!!!! You are the one in the wrong. You need to ask yourself what Odds really are. 'The ratio of the probability of occurrence of an even

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
I realize I spaced out a bit while looking at the overall chances for the raffle. Back to that in a second. People often refer to odds as good or bad, but that's a bit like saying that fractions are good or bad. After all, odds and fractions are thesame thing, and they're mostly meaningless until they're related tosomething else. The ad claim of best chance to win a million dollars is true, but it's not the whole story. They can always improve the chance of winning a million dollars by increa

Made a scary lotto choice
I stay away from P3 and P4, because even if you win it wont make much difference in your life. I limit the number of Powerballs and Mega millions, because the Odds are just too terrible. I focus on the ones that pay between $10,000 and $200,000 And the games that pay in the low millions. Badger 5 may only be paying $84,000 tonight, but the odds are like 1,150x better than powerball. Wis Megabucks is only paying $2,700,000 cash Saturday but the odds are 28x better than powerball.

There is no Math when it come to winning.
I have often read the only thing lottery players can do to improve their chances of winning is to buy more tickets and using software, developing a system or interpreting dreams to pick lottery numbers is futile. With odds of winning so high, the average lottery player assumes it's true. Even if a player improved his odds by 200%, he's not likely to notice any change. For example the odds of winning a 649 game with one ticket are: MATCH ODDS 6/6 1 : 13983816 5/6 1 : 54201 4/6 1 : 10

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
1,000,000 divide by 100,000=10 (this means you have a 1 in 10 shot of winning if you buy one hundred thousand tickets assuming no doubles) Benmas, to me, this is a silly example. I mean, whether or not it's true, the whole point of gambling is to come out a winner, isn't it? Any game that has only a million to one odds isn't going to pay much. So why would you spend $100,000 on tickets? 1 in 10 isn't that great either!! I mean, isn't 1 in 10 only a 10% shot because you have a 90% chance

Texas Lottery may consider offering raffle
The chairman of the Texas Lottery Commission has asked the state attorney general to study whether it would be legal to add a raffle to its array of games. Raffles offer better odds of winning than other kinds of games because a limited number of tickets are sold and there can be no duplicate winners. Twenty-seven states already offer raffles with mixed success. Lottery spokesman Bobby Heith said the commission would still have to research the idea before starting a raffle game. But offici

Winning Scratch Offs
I got my hands on a box of tickets that had already been scratched. They were all winners there were over 2000 tickets in the box. Heres what I found. The 5 dollar scratches had one winner of $100 one winner of $50 20 at $20 Many at $6 The smaller priced tickets had mostly free ticket and $1 winners So the odds suck big time on scratches. In my mind yer better off playing pick 3. most tickets say the odds of winning are 1 in 3.57 or someting like that. Those od

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
Ky Floyd You just said: You are definitely the only one who has suggested that anyone thinks each additional dollar cuts the odds in half again. What people have said is that the second dollar doubles your chances of winning, which means it cuts the odds in half. That is: You are definitely the only one who has suggested that anyone thinks each additional dollar cuts the odds in half again. followed by What people have said is that the second dollar doubles your chances

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
If one person played one combination the odds would be 1 in 146 million, meaning 146.000.000 - 1 = 159.999.999 combinations left. if two persons would play one combination each (different numbers) the odds would be 146.000.000 - 2 = 159.999.998 combinations left. the odds would not be 146.000.000 / 2 --> 1 in 73.000.000!!! Yes, the odds of someone winning the jackpot will go up with the more people playing it, but the odds for 1 person, who is not someone , would not go up if a mill

The Meaning of Random Drawing
That's an interesting viewpoint, pumpi. I hope you'll elaborate. I believe that as long as you have pre-testing, you are not going to have a trully random game. Because pre-testing interferes with the game's history and trends. Are you postulating that the game history of each game acts as a hmmm sort of sea-anchor to influence future draws? Also, RNG developers talk about degrees of randomness on the RNG but really the degrees of randomness are subtle, on small scale and visible on
