Lottery is unfair
how about an end of year raffle, where all the losing tickets people have purchased. well ok all th tickets pople have perchased have a chance?
would also save on litter. maybe a 5c entry cost from the prize pool, per ticket. snd make it something where ALL the prize money goes to prizes. and lots of small ish ones and a few dozen $1 mill prizes.
sure its bound to be a hassle. keeping tickets out of the sun for a whole year. but i like the idea of buying 1 ticket and going into more t

Lottery Predictions for 2013- NOT NUMBER PREDICTIONS
i dont know how spain does it, they return something like %70 in prizes, and %10 of the players win their entry money back. The state gets its taxxes, and all the people delivering tickets also get their cut. maybe as its once a year the state forgoes tax on the prizes? i doubt it? but the winners dont seem to pay i have heard no mention of taxes.
I do now know how the prize draw works, so can see how the money is distributed. $20 Euro, for 1/10th if a ticket isnt small fry. I think a ra

Virginia's New Year Millionaire Raffle
Artist:
Nope not connected with lottery as any official in any way, shape, or form, I just like keeping VA players aware
of how we are doing in the raffle, not looking for any responses either..... just having fun!

POLL - State Raffles
We do but the one for this year sucks to say the least. It costs $10 and only one person will get half of the sales on D-Day.
I wish I had the motivation to visit my family in VA for christmas because I'd get me some raffle tickets.
Oh well, El Gordo is it for me. Good luck.

POLL - State Raffles
That's ok, maringoman, I was asking mainly about state lotteries anyway.
I got a couple for El Gordo too.
Does Mass have a raffle?

El Gordo
I think it takes a few days after registration for them to accept a transaction from your card. Is it a visa? mine is and was accepted.
I registered at that website about a month ago because I wanted to buy Euro Millions lottery tickets. I tried to buy but my transaction was declined.
Then when this El Gordo raffle thing was posted, I decided to try again and the transaction went through very easily.
Good luck man.

Total coincidence OldSchoolHits that I just joined the site before your post. As you can see by my name I am fellow ND fan. I plan to head to Miami with or without a ticket. This is my first post. I have been lurking for a couple months since I found this site. I pretty much just read the scratch-off threads. I'm not a big player but I do enjoy reading others' experiences. You guys have scared me away from the $25 Millionaire game. I have only purchased 3 tix and 2 were winners of $25 and $30. I

Thanks LB, but you shouldnt be wishin' ME good luck with Connecticut's New Year's SuperDraw!
You should jump in your car and whiz up The Cross Bronx Expressway to Ct and buy your own dam Superdraw raffle ticket! It aint all that far from New York to Stamford. Hell's Bell's son! You could even get on Metro North's New Haven Line outta GCT too. You wouldn't even have to go to Stamford either. Just get off the train in Greenwich. That way, you could walk across the state line into Portchester, a

Post your scratch ticket results
Im definently stocking up. It looks like there was only around 80,000 sold this one so the odds were insane. Now that the first drawing has gone i dont think as many tickets will even sell for the second one, so i think that the odds are going to be even better. When i go to the lottery office tommorow ill try 4 more of the $25 scratch off from their machine, and if i dont win snip im done with those and sticking to the raffle the odds are great

I Have No Problem Saying No!!
Funny you should ask. They were fighting over me like wild starving hyenas.
Being the diplomat and entrepreneur that I am, I convinced them all to pay me $100 each, and I would hold a raffle to determine the winner.
That little fundraiser netted me around $3000. Not bad for a half hours work .
