Quick Picks
I usually play my own numbers but I pick them different ways. I almost never do QP from the lottery terminal. I'll pick my numbers from an excel file sometimes, and other times I'll use LP's RNG. That way I know I still can control the sequence of numbers and not get any odd combinations. It's still longggggggg odds. I have found that over a year I win between 9 and 11 percent of what I play. So while I play to win, I also look at it as my entertainment or hobby.

Quick Picks
The reason so many people buy losing qps is that there are approximately 142 million losing combinations each drawing. (odds of a winning combination are something like 142 million to 1 ) The only thing I've ever hit with in PB are qps or just my own random numbers. As far as I'm concerned, its a waste of time trying to figure out the numbers that will fall unless you are looking to wheel and spend a lot of money on a drawing. And as one of the recent winners of PB found out, it only takes on

Finding out winning ticket locations in NC ??
I wonder if this site has any references/info regarding this question? Anyway, I usually play Cash 5 a lot, but can't win anything past a single dollar. I'm spending $10 and getting 1 or 2 back...not very good odds. I may try the numbering suggested on the NC pick 5 forum instead of letting the computer pick 'em. I'm not a very lucky person at all. That recent winnner list is only good for a couple of months. I'd like to know what the outcome has been for the last 1.5 years. I bet it tells a

Has anyone here read Gail Howard's book-Lottery Master Guide?
I have to disagree about some of the comments concerning software. If you use the software for analyzing the numbers you will see there are definite patterns that can be played. You can better your odds by knowing these patterns. If you use the software to just pick numbers, then I do not put much faith in that. I have read Gail Howard's book. She does provide alot of useful information, on the other hand, much of the book is a sell for her other products. I am an electrical engineer, with a min

Solution for all those sweating splitting a jackpot
IF I win the jackpot, and I have to share it, I share it. No REAL sense in buying 2 tickets of the same - the odds are high enough just to win it, let alone doubling your expenditure. I think I'd rather buy a ticket with slightly different number(s) - and doubling my chances of winning in the first place. This is ALMOST the same as arguing over playing the multiplier - or not.

filter system to reduce numbers
Yes, it would reduce the odds that much more. Have fun !.....LOL Just joking.... There is a plethora of filters available, but too many might block out the needeed number or desired outcome, thus negating any beneficial qualities. Discernment is key.

Powerball multi-state lottery game to change rules
I am not going to go out of my way to play Powerball unless they have a 10x powerplay promotion at the same time they are rolling the jackpot down to the second prize level.....then maybe I'll bother. I can only describe the new odds a depressing. However, at $500,000,000 I'll probably buy a ticket but not below that!
