Lottery Taxes
Had the taxes remained the same and had they continued to balance the spending budget, there would be no reason to consider raising them now. When they continued to spend more than they made after lowering the taxes, eventually the taxes will have to raised just to pay the interest. Hopefully it will be the other party raising the taxes while in control so they can use lowering the taxes to get back in control. Haven't the two parties been repeating that process for a number of years now?

Mega Ball?
I hate to sound like a pessimist but we all know how difficult it is to match 4 out of 28 numbers and even a 2 if 2 wheel using 28 numbers has 41 combinations. Since most of the number only occurs 7 times in the wheel, we could only use 7 Mega/PB numbers just to get a 1+1 guarantee. And even matching 3+0 or 2+1 only covers about half of the cost. There are reoccurring trends and patterns that could be used to create a system but can it be reduced into playable combinations that greatly increases

I can get closer to a win doing just all ODD/Evens
If you limited your numbers to multiple of 3 in a 5/39 game then you would limit your number pool to thirteen numbers or 1287 possible combinations, but that wouldn't reduce your odds of winning to 1:1287
Of the 1255 drawings of Ohio Rolling Cash5(5/39) only 2 had 5 numbers that were multiple of 3.

Chaz,
You continue to show why you are oone of the best, if not the best, when it comes to stats. Now, you are on a Pick-5 mission. LOL
In Fla the Even is 9 times per year, Odds are 10-11 times per year.

How do you feel when...
Last Sunday I sat down to check my numbers for the state lotto game from Saturday night's drawing but couldn't find my ticket. Then it dawned on me - I'd forgotten to play. The jackpot had been over $9 million, so I had intended to do so. Though I don't often play the state lotto, if both of the following criteria are met, I usually do. (1) The jackpot is over $5 million. (2) The MM jackpot is low enough that (due to its terrible odds) I'm not attracted to it instead, since I need to keep within

I agree, the double 7's seem to be NON-STOP this year? so do we play more and what is next? 778 ? 779?
And what are the odds of 2 #'s 767 098 hitting 2 times in one day this month???
And last question - will 767 hit today midday for **3** hits in a row??

If Powerball & Megamillions combined & the tickets cost 2 dollars..
Well sweetbitterkiss, The price and odds are determined by the size of the population which can play, the jackpots, etc... So the larger the jackpots and the less tickets sold = higher prices. The less the jackpots and the more tickets sold = lower prices. Those are just simple examples, it can be made way more complicated if those who run the lottery choose.
It also depends on what the lottery needs to bring in. Remember lotteries are designed to bring in money, not pay out money.

My Least Favorite 4 Letter Word
A few years ago in Ohio a guy bought a motor cycle and it was in a packing grate. He played the numbers on it in the pick-4 and won $400 for the box bet. In the next draw he bet the entire $400 on the same number straight and won $2,000,000. I'm not sure if the word luck even applies when the same digits are are drawn 2 drawings in a row and the way he bet it.
When you think about it, even winning $40 in the pick-3 could be a huge win when the winnings are parlayed. MM and PB are strange game

This is really weird!
After playing for a few months or years we notice that not very many combinations with 4 numbers under 10 or with 4 numbers in the teens or twenties are drawn. So when we see a QP with that distribution, we think there is a lesser chance of those numbers being drawn.
That is what I was talking about initially. I have a group of 5 numbers that I occassionally play, but I like the odds of the quick pick better. I've tried wheels and frequency, etc, but since Florida's drawings are not al

What is your lottery personality?
I play mostly Fantasy 5 as well. I dabble every now and then with the Mega Money. But, I like the odds better with the Fantasy. We have a pool at work for the Lotto. Not much has happened with that, either. I'm not a scratch off guy or a pick 3 or 4 guy. I guess my feeling is, when I win, I might as well win enough to do something with!
Sooner or later somethings gotta give! Can't win if you don't play!
