What is your lottery personality?Reply
I play mostly Fantasy 5 as well. I dabble every now and then with the Mega Money. But, I like the odds better with the Fantasy. We have a pool at work for the Lotto. Not much has happened with that, either. I'm not a scratch off guy or a pick 3 or 4 guy. I guess my feeling is, when I win, I might as well win enough to do something with! Sooner or later somethings gotta give! Can't win if you don't play!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so happy for you!!! I love to win too! I won today, on 07/18/08 -- matched 3 numbers, won $7 and very happy! That was $1 investment! I bought a ticket because a cashier told me to, the way he looked at me and said: You should get a ticket today. Then, a man before me comes in and buys a BUNCH of tickets. I figured, these are great odds and jumped right behind him. It's so nice to win!

If you're the type of player that looks for patterns in the numbers (Mega Million), column 1-3 works the same in a system or a method. Column 4 and 5 almost, always goes opposite or totally different. To try your method or system in the same manner for column 1-3, ends up giving questionable results. A long time ago I did a complete probability spreadsheet on the 6/49 matrix lottery. The file was rather large - took (if I remember correctly) 5 CD-ROMs to hold all of the data. Your last explanation was right, you may have all 5 winning numbers in a pool of 22 numbers but your odds of matching 5 is still 1:26,334. I checked the previous 10 drawings for 1222 drawings of RC5 and only 288 had all 5 winning numbers and the pool sizes were 23-34 numbers. One time on 04/07/08 none of the numbers in the previous 10 drawings were in the winning numbers. I would like find a pool with 20-25 numbers that had all the winning numbers 25% of the time. If you want to win, casino's are not the place to go. First, gambling should be fun and should be done in moderation. I don't think you should just suddenly stop especially if you enjoy gambling. My advice is you should play Pick 3. That's the best odds. When you play look for members who are predicting for your state and who have a good track record. Once you hit a few times whether it's box or straight, try some Pick-4 and then the Pick 5 and then the BIG ONES. The moment you stop having fun p

Yes I have played many other games and lost, however those games were not $20.00 a play either. I played all 5 raffles and none paid anything back, despite such good odds. Others I paid $1.00 or $2.00 and still won some big amounts at times. So until I see some kind of payback, it is a crap game. A $1,000 would be nice, but not what I was playing for. The million dollars, I mean $750,000, is what I was shooting for. All the other prizes were just consolations to me.

I use 2 groups of 11 numbers, actually use 10 numbers, as the first number is considered to be most impossible. Hans, I can tell you, the first set of numbers are the easiest of all 5 set of numbers including the Mega Ball. The odds for the first set of number is lower than the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th (in MM).

I don't think the two Lottery strands having one number match from two different sources is weird at all. I am not saying that I am right...or claiming to be a Guru...but.. I am in a pool at work, where everyone picks thier own numbers. now...it is not uncommon for a number to be selected by two or more players, for the same draw. not sure what the odds are on it happened (never bothered to calculate it, just know it happens almost every draw.
