Man claims $16M Florida Lotto prize
As long as you can afford to loose money, it matters not how you throw it away. Three dollars instead of one dollar is the advantage of those who can afford to loose money. Buy a three dollar ticket or buy a one dollar ticket and a Hersey Bar. Atleast with the Hersey Bar, you get some nutrition - and pleasure. Remember, the goal of the lottery is to take as much money from you as possible. Your goal is outwit all the experts and tremendous odds; only you get to spend real money proving your p

CA Pick 4
check out yesterday's payout. Over 100% of the odds. $1 Straight was over $10,000. Too bad all games didn't pay out like that...haha But only 2 straight winners. People must not like Daily 3 and 4 in that state. There are very few winners for the state's population. Brad

How Many Past Draws Do You Look At?
Has a lottery machine ever looked back? Does a bouncing ball care how many times a similar ball dropped through the chute? Do little plastic round things evaluate time and distance? Follow the example of R-E-A-L winners, not wanna be winner. Get a quick pick on the way to buying a loaf of bread and half-gallon of milk. You can increase your odds by having your IQ lowered. No certified genius has ever won a lottery. The last person who won a lottery with a system was ....... Hummm, never was o

Pick 5 games easy or not?
What in the world does 4/5 pay in New York? Here it's usually around $100. You'd have to win everyday to be making a living. 5/6 in Lotto pays $5,000 or better, but I've never gotten 5 numbers in Lotto. I've gotten 4/5 a few times in Fantasy 5. In fact, I signed on today to post that I got 4/5 last night. I don't know how anyone can say winning a pick-5 is easy since the odds (at least for FL) are over 1 in 376K. I agree with Coin Toss about the difference between winning on paper and winni

NY Pick 10
Not sure what forum to put this but anyone ever play this game? 80 balls. 20 are picked every night. You get to pick 10 and if they match you win $500,000. If I am reading right, you win $4 even if you match 0 balls. Could that be? With a quick scan, I did'nt find any other states offering this game. I couldnt find anyone winning recently in NY. But I am curious about the odds. I am going to try 4 games cause if I'm reading payout info correctly I'll win my money back even if I don't get

The Most important Lottery Statistics
Hi, By eliminating numbers you increase your odds that you will hit. Mainly because you've reduced the amount of combinations. Examples in a Fantasy 5 game might consist of 1) numbers that have occured two times in a row or 2) numbers that have occured 3 times in the last 10 games or 3) numbers that have occured more than 8 times in the last 39 games. As always, there are examples where these things have occured, but it is a very low percentage of the time. Because cumulitive errors are mult

How Many Past Draws Do You Look At?
i agree with Bobp's reply ...the reason you don't look back since the last time the game format was changed is because it was a different game with different odds and the probabilities are different (for example powerball was a 5/53 before 8/28/2005)...also in PA cash 5 was 5/39 before 2/1/08 now it is 5/43.... they are now different games..... as far as the ball set rotation, ok it is somewhat important but not as much i think because they manufacture the balls to very close weight and size

The Most important Lottery Statistics
Benmas: I agree with you 100% on your first post. Lottery drawings are random and the only hope we have of making smart picks is to try to find some kind of pattern we can exploit. For a long time I only bought quick picks. I started getting tired of quick picks that seemed very unlikely to hit. For example for a pick 5 something like: 5-6-7-8-30. I started trying writing all kinds of spreadsheets that would analyze hot/cold, even/odd, hit/skip....etc. It would all look good on paper, but never

How about this as a system?
OK. Grabbing 10 quick picks of the RNG gave me 34 unique numbers. Subtracting 34 from 56, = 22. So (very big) if all 5 of your winners come from the 22 numbers not in your typical 10 QPs then you're left with '1 in 22c5' odds. 22c5 = 26,334 combos
