Running an office Powerball pool is discouraging
what's really discouraging, is: when the odds are 250,000:1 and you win and they only pay you 1500dollars even the winners are losers.

pickthi$ Being in Tampa, do you ever play Front Pair and Back Pair? To be honest, prior to Jan. 08, I would almost exclusively play FP and BPs. My win frequency was a heck of a lot higher. Even though $1 bet only pays out $50. Your odds are 1 in 100. Better than any other odds in BOXED, STR combos. My strategy then was to: #1 Study all the positions (1st, middle and last) and then see what numbers were longest out. #2 Then play each mixed with another key number that look

Running an office Powerball pool is discouraging
In my pool, we play both Powerball and Lotto and bought a $10 Millionaire Raffle ticket with our previous winnings. We buy Powerball for the big prizes, Lotto for the better odds. As for our numbers, we play a combination of numbers we pick and quickpicks, again to balance things out a little. We've won a few dollars here and there, but we keep trying.

prediction board
I look at the boards every day... its an easy way to check my tickets after a draw... also, I enjoy watching people hit like LotteryBreaker, Geos, Maddogg, Litebets, LottoChica, just to name a few ... I enjoy playing the game, and I use the statistics to keep up with how much I am winning and losing at any given time... before I run a wheel I study that given games lottery. In my personal opinion, the challenge for me...is breaking even or keeping your head above the water...

By the way, anyone who says that people who post a large set of numbers and also have a high hit ratio are more lucky than skillfull do not comprehend a stitch about odds and statistics. In a situation where two people have identical hit ratios, and one person picks 1 numbers a day while the other picks 50 numbers per day, both are of equal luck and/or skill. There is absolutely no advantage of one over the other. If this concept is odd or strange to you, then you also may be thrown by th

GA Players, Can You Use These?
Thank you Msgirlinga for both the Mid and the Eve. Nice to see real stats that someone took time and effort to work on. Many eyes looking out for us sure better the odds. The harder we work ......the luckier we get.

LP systems
Systems can definitely improve the odds. The problem, as you stated, is reducing the sets down to a reasonable size. I'm still trying to take as many systems and intergrating them, looking for a commonality. I think a program that can do this will be the next step. I know there are many programs out there, but to me they aren't user friendly. That's why I like sfilippo's quick punch in numbers programs.....

powerball and mega challenges
my idea here is to reduce the matrix by eliminating at least one tenths category (i call them 0s, 10s 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s), ...100% of the time it will skip one tens category, 85% of the time it will skip at least two tens category, about 50% it will skip excatly two tens categories, 35% of the time it will skip three tens categories or more (like last two pb drawings although skipping three is somewhat rare)...look at past results and my % will be confirmed...if you make the right skip in tens c

What's the cut off point for you?
I play EVERY draw for MM and PB...so size of jackpot doesn't matter for me in that regard. Also, I don't care what the current jackpot is for Florida, Texas, or California Super- lottos as they increase fast enough on each rollover to justify me buying multi draw tickets whenever I pass through those states. But for all other slowly increasing lottos like IL, IN, WI, MI, etc, I only play them when they are above 10 million annuitized jackpot level. That is not to say that I wouldn't be happy win
