Are there any advantages to NOT being anonymous?
That must be it Pita..the trust issue. I don't know why people feel the need to see it to believe it. Maybe it's just the
mind frame: Get something for a whole lotta nothing too. Win money, instant friends. Win money, instant popularity.
It's what lies beneath the smiling faces of those friends that matters most: I'm going to get mine no matter how I do it.
How'd some of us get so rotten? It's a user society...see it, take it, use it, toss it. Disposable morals, virtues and character.

"Beating the House!"
Dear Jag,
You said: ...you loose your quality...
Army Intelligence Officer, Jag?
Sorry, I had to deal with that first, Jag.
That's one of the leading tells of an idiot.
Who is the only person in the room that won't lie to you?
I don't have anything to sell...
Look me up on Google. Blah blah blah blah blah is my book...
Nothing to sell, Jag? You wouldn't lie?
The truth is, Jag, you can't afford or you're too cheap to buy advertising, so you you t

5 greatest movies featuring a lottery win
Be honest: every time you play the lottery, the same fantasy runs through your head, of you sitting in a bath full of champagne, wearing a top hat and monocle, and throwing wads of cash into the air gleefully. Before you've even left the shop, you've spent half the money that you're almost definitely destined to win, no matter what the actual odds.
Feeding this fantasy is the many, many movies that have involved lottery wins, and the results for the winners. They are invariably everyman chara

Does Your State Protect YOU?
You'll find that all kinds of people will ask you for money but this thread touches on people contacting you
posing as employees of the lottery 'needing' to 'verify' a few things.
What they hope is that you will provide them with the information they need - acct numbers, personal identifying
factors etc.
One easy scheme for them is to tell you that you need to pay a fee to release your money. I'm sure you've read
here on LP about unfortunate victims who were swindled.

N.C. bill keeps 'education' in lottery for now
The North Carolina Education Lottery is keeping the education in its name at least for now.
A bill debated Wednesday by a House judiciary committee and aimed at reeling in advertising for the state-run lottery originally directed the lottery to stop using the word education in its advertising.
But the bill's chief sponsor said he would pull that prohibition because he didn't want to make the cost of such a rebranding drag down the bill, which he said is designed to bring more truth to what

Lotto tickets bought with bags of coins lead to bust in massive Metro theft
A long-running scam to steal thousands of Metro riders' fares unraveled this week after a man in a police uniform driving a Jaguar bought thousands of Virginia lottery tickets with bags and bags of apparently stolen coins.
A tip about the odd purchases led authorities to an extensive investigation involving GPS-tracked cars, surveillance videos from Woodbridge gas stations and money drops by an Alexandria underpass.
Now two Metro veterans, Horace Dexter McDade, 58, of Bowie, and John Vince
