MegaMillions rolls to $325M
I think the next pot would only be around 80 million more than whatever the current pot gets adjusted to. Sales are lower this time than the drawinging in March. For the last drawing sales were at $110 million vs $88 now. Sales for the current drawing will only hit around $150 to $175. So odds of a rollover are higher but still pretty low.
I'd say the next pot would be around $410 - $415 then get adjusted by sales. They error on the low side to start since you can always raise it later as sal

POLL 1 of 3: Computerized drawings vs. ball drawings
It doesn't matter to me, i like each one either way...I've said before that it doesn't matter if you are using RNG or Balls machine is how high you set the odds that matter...I wish they put the lottery machines in a squared or cylindrical candy machine or machine that looks like a blender (all of them with the same dimensions) and perhaps mix some bigger balls with a lot of smaller balls...I'll be so happy the day they ever do that....If they change to RNG i wouldn't care...The day they make

Single winner in $314M Powerball lottery drawing
Buy 5 Powerball/PowerPlay Tickets For Next Draw, Get 1 Free! (While Powerball jackpot is $15,000,000)
Wow, PA must be really worried about sales now. So worried they offered ONE ticket for buying $10 worth of tickets. Hold on while I immediately rush out to take advantage of this great offer!!!!!
Not. Esecially considering the odds. They will have to do A LOT better than that to get me to buy these rip off tickets that I normally hate buying anyway.

Systems say don't play like this....
It's a play on words.
They want YOU to understand what you are asking, so they can give the 'correct' answer, never mind the fact that no matter how you word it, you are still going to get the SAME answer regardless...
As far as 'odds' go, I think I'm safe in assuming I have a MUCH better chance at winning (something) by not playing the same numbers that won in the prior game. If you would have replayed all the same numbers on PB on 8/22 from the prior game of 8/18, you would have hit two

It Is very very Easy To Win!!
This has been an interesting discussion, with a lot of heat generated. I hope there is room in the world for both belief and reason. I don't know that you have to totally abandon reason to have a belief. But the belief expressed here, that the universe, god, or whatever, will look favorably on you because you do visualizations, seems to fly in the face of the reality of the many people who use this site and dilligently work to improve their odds of winning lottery games. Not to be unkind, bu

Powerball & Megamillions Growing
OMG, again with the cap talk. People, the PowerBall isn't capped at $390M. If it rolls to $375M, there will be a cap of $400M. You people need to look at the INCREASE cap. Also, I think some of you are becoming obsessed with the cash value argument. It's already been discussed that PowerBall and Mega Millions each have their advantages. There's nothing wrong with someone taking the annuity option. You people need to be less comparative with these 2 games. They're not run by the same organization

Powerball & Megamillions Growing
I'd have to agree with that. Another roll will hit the cap and have about 5 million in the bonus pool. Not much. But since Mega is also high there will be less cross traffic from other states. Hard to say since both have never been this high together.
Next stop for Mega would be 245 with a cash pot of 142 million. I'm sure one of them wil get hit on the Friday/Saturday drawings. Odds of both rolling would be unprecedented. Powerball would hit the cap while Mega would be at near record levels

computerized drawings set to take over the lottery in a few years?
There seems to be a trend towards moving to computerized (Random Number Generator - RNG) drawings. For one thing, state lotteries say that they are cost effective . They are easier and cheaper to maintain in the long run and maybe even cheaper to buy to begin with. I'm not crazy about the idea to begin with, mistakes can be made, like the one with the Tenn. Lottery. I think that part of the problem is that it is so much easier to believe that it truely is random with a physical ball based s

Systems say don't play like this....
The next day before the draw .....the odds for 123 would be the same as Monday .....but the probability would not be the same.
The above is what WIN D was saying, and you replied by saying that 123 has the same chance to come out again the next day and so on, and that's where I based my reply on.
Go back and read your own reply before you post something you don't know.
I know that a p-3 set has a 1 in 999 to come out, but you said that 123 has the same chance the following day. You sai

What if you found out that NO ILOGICAL system works
The Ohio Lottery ran a commercial where people said how they pick their number to promote the Pick-3 and its slogan Odds are you'll have fun . The numbers were the standard dates, addresses, plate numbers, phone prefixes and dream numbers. Following and setting conditions when to play one number might not be much fun if the conditions were never right or they were always right and the number never hits.
I wouldn't even know where to start if wanted to analyze all 1000 combos and the resul
