Trash diving
Me too, Bryan. This is an excellent way to get into the second chance drawings. I did that last year and sent in 35 entries each containing $30 ($1050) in losing tickets. The store owner didn't mind a bit...I was helping him empty his trash and if I won, it would most likely have originated at his store. Other players never paid attention to what I was doing.
I never even double-checked them to see if they were winners...my main concern was to get a lot of entries into the second chance d

Trash diving
In my opinion, If someone is sifting through garbage, they need to reflect on their situation and do something about it.
They're at a really strong crossroads at that point in their life.
Trying to find a winning lottery ticket in a dumpster is as likely as beating the astronomical odds at a lotto game or powerball. Not to mention unappealing to the neighborhood in which you live.
Just like Jarasan says.....Is it worth the grief?

Those "raffle" lottery games
Just for your info, I bought one of the $50.00 dollar tickets and was 20 tickets away from $100,000. Now you might say one ticket or ten thousand you still did not have a winning ticket. Well you are right unless i have a winner it is still a loser. You tell me one game that the odds are one in 125,000 for 2 million dollars? I live in mich and the raffle for $20.00 has 6 one million dollar winners guaranteed! That is one in one hundred thousand. All prizes are going to be won as long as yo

Retailers sue N.M. Lottery over scratch-off games
Cry me a river. The state has a right to suspend or change games as they see fit, as long as nobody is cheated. The people who buy tickets while the game is available have odds that are determined by how many tickets were printed and how many prizes there are, and their results aren't affected by anything that happens later. The people who don't buy tickets before a game ends can't lose anything. Unless the state is making a habit of selectively pulling only the games that have sold fewer prizes

Paranoid or Prudent?
Hey Uncle Jim, that 5 of 6 Quick Pick was free look at it closely, it is a promotion they had this month buy 3 get one free. I don't QP. But I my point was that they didn't have to give me a ticket, much less a 5 of 6. DC is computer drawn.
As far as skill goes, that was kinda of an uninformed not factually correct statement, double check your facts. A picture is worth a thousand words.
We all know that judges, police, doctors, etc. can be corrupt, human nature. But sooner or later

what state do you think has the worst lottery?
I see what you mean about the hours. First, they don't have hours. Most p-3 and 4 games I'm aware of can be played almost near the actual drawing. Here in Floriduh, I can play the p-3 to almost 7:45 pm eastern standard time. The drawing is done at 7:55.
Triples come around about every thousand days, on average. There is no foul play there. I think you need to get to know the odds with the p-3 and p-4 a liitle better.

Stay here, or flee the country ?
This topic is simply moronic, and makes little sense. You are creating your own rules now, not abiding by reality. The odds of this situation happening as you describe it is even less likely than hitting the powerball. Selecting an annuity would be the only logical answer. Fleeing with the cash option which is not enough after taxes anyway, is simply stupid.
You are trying to manipulate answers based on your own rules, not reality, and other options that would be present. Freedom is more im

Did you know in PB/MM ...
I'm not skeptical of your ideas because I have never heard of them but rather that I've heard similar claims that were never proved.
There are companies selling numbers and people selling software that make those kinds of claims all the time.
I believe that one can increase their odds of winning by eliminating combinations that have matched four or more in previous drawings, combinations of certain ranges and sums and avoid certain conditions that are not common with past winning combina

Paranoid or Prudent?
here in Canada it always seems the people in Ontario or Quebec win instead of where I am at in Alberta...... however he did have the largest Canadian Lottery win in Alberta a couple years back.... and the reason for more winners in Ontario and Quebec is a matter of odds ...... more people there.....
However on another level I prefer to when I can buy my Lottery Tickets in Edmonton instead of the rural community we live in with it's one gas station where everyone would know someone won here...
