Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I agree with you Dracos, If the lottery did NOT offer the 8 - $15M prizes they could have instead offered 140 - $1M prizes at odds of 231,429:1 which would have been incredible odds for the player. Think about it, a $1M prize on average every 7714 packs.....would have been the best selling and greatest scratch off ever....in my opinion. Those 8 big $15M prizes killed all the smaller prize odds and made the game pretty brutal.

I do remember that game and am hopeful the lottery has improved things this time around. If my memory is right the $600M High Roller game was kind of a dud for the lottery and players compared to others like Gold Rush, 100X, etc. Also, the $25 WCC game currently offers the best odds of hitting $1M at 620,870:1 so this new $30 version of 100X should have better odds on the bigger prizes like 10k or 20k, 100k and 1M. I agree with you gatorsrok that the smaller payouts will look like you posted and

Winning the PB or MM jackpots
Agree with RJOH To sum it up play the lottery 30 years and in 30 years getting 6 number out of 7 off hitting it big then some people make as if hitting the jackpot is easy......they don't understand the odds. And note mine was from a 6+1/49 your PB or MM odds are 15 times even higher To put it in perspective Gail Howard has won division prizes but NO JACKPOTS Richard Lustig has won division prizes but NO JACKPOTS (If he did he would have stayed on an island and don't rely on selling

The odds of winning $50 is even worse than $2 scratchoff games. Disgusting. Almost every $2 game also has much better odds of hitting $400 than the $500 prize on the cornhole game. 1 in 15k, seriously? I also don't understand why the odds are worse when there's less overhead...their main expense is the cost of the pink slip, and retailer commissions...

Im really liking the odds at hitting $500 on this new $5 ticket. Even though this new 5$ ticket has slightly lower overall odds at 4.33 compared to 3.99 or so for an average ticket... the odds on hitting that 500 are truly pretty good. I'll be buying about $150 worth of tickets over the next two weeks and will scratch them all not this but next weekend. Hopefully I can find a $500 winner and post one on here. But I'm definitely going to be playing Full of $500's as that is the next prize I'm aft

Just how big of a number is one trillion anyway?
By 1 trillion do you mean the correct way (1,000,000,000,000,000,000/ One Million Million Million) or the American way (1,000,000,000,000; One Million Million)? Anyway, if you play MM or PB for the odds, you're doing it wrong. There are plenty of games that offer better odds, better payouts, and often a cheaper price. You play the big two solely for the chance to completely change your life, odds be dammed.

California SuperLotto - Buy 5 Get 1 Free
There are few wins because the odds are over 1 in 41 million. That's why I always have a ticket in PB and MM. Not just for the big jackpot, but because the odds of hitting the million dollar second prize is way better than the state lotto odds. At my age, $600k after taxes would set me up for retirement.

Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle - XXIV
Looks like the odds for the first early bird drawing will be in a range of 1:35,000 to 1:39,000. Not bad odds to win $100,000. I definitely wanted to be in the first early bird drawing. My thinking was that more tickets will be sold during each of the later early bird drawing periods and that the odds would be higher. G5

Post your scratch ticket results
The jackpot odds are still very low in my opinion. PA had been moving away from better odds on claim winners, though, so glad to see this change. Still, that is what odds of $500 are on most $20 tickets and I never see one here. I will try some for sure, but have been taking breaks and don't want to go against that schedule. Thanks for your thiughts, Dracos, and good luck. Yes, 30 tickets per book in $20 books in PA.

US lottery operators worry as fewer millennials line up to play
I think the millenials can understand the math and they know the odds are bad. How many times do you have to buy Powerball or MegaMillions tickets and get nothing back to realize there are better ways to spend your money. The lotteries have not helped by making the odds increasingly worse every several years to pump up jackpots. With that said, I enjoy playing despite knowing that the odds are remote that I'll ever win a life-changing prize.
