Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
I think that people are so desensitized to money as a result of media exposure to celebrity life, that 100 million just isn't as appealing as 300, or better yet, 400. Would I like to win 100 million dollars, you bet, but I would spend more on playing if the jackpot was over 300 million. And it doesn't seem to be helping that the Mega Millions and Powerball Lotteries have rarely seen large mega jackpots in the last year. I think people aren't playing because people are winning when jackpots are

Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
To lottery players, $100 million ain't what it used to be. A seven-month streak of jackpots that were big, but not gigantic, has sent traditional lottery sales plummeting in many states. In the past six months, Mega Millions sales are down 30% in Texas compared with a year earlier and 38% in Massachusetts. Powerball sales are off 6% in Wisconsin. The USA is suffering from jackpot fatigue, lottery officials say. There was a time when $50 million created a stir. Then we needed $

N.C. Lottery Plans $1 Million Raffle
No, not a great game at those odds IMO. Maybe it will appeal to those who keep calling at a makable chance at $1 (or multiple $1 million prizes instead of one multi-million prize). Was SC's game an instant ticket or an online game? I know they had a problem with ticket distribution on their first high-dollar instant game.

Numbers Hitting After You Stop
Have you ever bet a number several times and, after you stop playing it, you find out it hit one evening? I am referring to any lottery game, especially the jackpot (6 number) and pick-5 games. However, sometime people play the same pick-4 and pick-3 numbers all the time so feel free to comment! I hear stories like this all the time, but it's so unlikely it will happen, considering the odds, especially if you are playing PB MM. On the other hand, each draw is a different game, so yo

1 Million Cash Spectacular in virginia
My advice to you is to look at the back of the ticket and look at the information about the odds of winning in that game. It usually reads as follows: 1 in 3.68 If the numbers are around or below 1 in 3.50, it's a good bet. The best are around 1 in 2.89 which many of your higher priced tickets will be between the 2.90-3.70. Welcome to the site and good luck with the scratch-offs. litebets

Company proposes new pooling lottery ticket to fight 'jackpot fatigue'
Jackpot Fatigue is caused by one problem only: Jackpot games that have impossible odds such as PowerRip and MegaRip. Change the number field, even if it means playing for $5,000,000 per drawing and you will draw players. If you lower the number field, the players will purchase tickets. - from Number Field of Dreams

No Guts No Glory
If you can guess the first number to show in pick 3 your odds drop to 1 in 100 for a straight. And 55/1000 for a box. I can guess the first number correct every time.

I love 100mill + jacks!!
lotto laughs is right and wise. :) Whilst its wonderful to hit it big with folks you trust, the odds are astounding . Im skeptical on hitting those huge jackpots and splitting it. Uncle sam is always hoovering over the jackpots and forever getting his share. Why we havent kicked him from the family tree is beyond me.
