5/39 Schooling...
FYI: Did you know that 1 in 7 draws will contain either a type 122, 212, 221 set up with numbers? Isn't that important enough to stay with? I would think so.. Playing the odds.. That is what we need to make ourselves a winner..

Iowa couple claims $200M Powerball lottery jackpot
Lar, I tend to agree with you. I have a system with several 'legs', but NONE of them will ever give 'winning numbers' - can't be done IMO. What my 'systems' do is steer you away from a set of number variances, or TO a certain pool set, but from there on, you have to pick the numbers. My system also uses a lot of common sense, like don't pick ALL longshot numbers, etc. There are a handful of things worth noting, I just follow my guidelines and the odds, and maybe, one of these day

How many different systems should you work with?
I only play one system. It's mine, homegrown, and has yet to produce any results. I have been reading about how awful some of the commercial systems are. I have been considering getting some of these systems but not for the purpose of winning. If a system is so bad it NEVER predicts a winner, then there are advantages to be taken. Use that system to determine which numbers not to play. If you can produce 30 number sets or lines which will not contain a winning number, then you have a sy

Canadian woman wins lotto twice
Beating 'astounding' odds, Toronto senior held two of three winning tickets in $24M jackpot With luck like hers, Mary Wollens should buy a lottery ticket or two. In what's being described as an unprecedented win in Lotto 6/49 history, 86-year-old Wollens held two of three winning tickets in the Sept. 30 draw, scoring her a windfall of $16 million. The Etobicoke woman credited a prophetic dream for the windfall, saying she saw the winning numbers in her sleep. I was lying in bed

Nevada Lottery
The way I understand it though, Powerbll sellers getting NOTHING from selling a losing ticket. And they only get a stipend if they sell a jackpt winner. The profit to the casinos in selling a jackpot winner is going to be very seldom (remember the odds don't change just because you're a casino) And ever dollar that buys a Powerball ticket from a casino is one LESS dollar that goes into a slot machine. And the slots are where every casino REALLY rakes in the dough ! They can afford to return

Stream of Jackpot Winners
This actually has been quite unusual. I mean for the amount of tickets they sell at the beginning of runs....the odds that these are being hit almost every drawing are crazy. And it is not just MM or PB....it is both!!! I don't ever remember this happening so much in such a short amount of time. Brad

Does PB or MM get hit first?
So you all have to ask yourself this: What are the odds of PB hitting 3 times in a row ? I'm saving my money for a week or two.....

PB lower odds = greater payout than MM??
The expectation value is, by definition, very much a function of probability, including the probability that there will be more than one winner, which obviously effects the potential size of the grand prize. As a first approximation, though, because of the exceptionally long odds, the case where the probability of multiple winners exceeds the probability of one winner, is very unusual. In the new matrices, I don't recall that such a case has ever prevailed. The expectation values for lo
