Something I hope we never see
If Megamillions can't even fix the first prize you don't have to worry about any changes to the second prize. Even if it were doubled and then an annuity I just can't see it happeneing with the current game. I also can't see them changing the current game to generate higher jackpots either. So like it or hate it we are stuck with MegaBS. I'd say the only way an annuity would enter the second place winner would be a Euromillions style game where you have to pick 2 secondary numbers plus 5 whit

PB Challenge 8/23
What are the odds of WB 22 hitting 3 games in a row ? I know it's happened before a few times (#20, 7, 32), I'm just asking... I guess I am just asking what is telling you to play #22 specifically, again ?

Powerplay option
guesser writes: I always figured MORE games give me MORE chances to win, but hell, what's the big difference between 6 in 146 million and 12 in 146 million ? (or whatever) That's true if you're thinking of discarding your tickets if they don't win the jackpot, but if you plan to cash your tickets regardless of their value then you would be thinking overall odds which would be 6 in 37 compared to 12 in 37 of winning some of your money back.

interesting technique
cps10, forgive my newbie-ness but by progression do you mean increasing the bet because the odds of (whatever system/numbers) hitting go up if it hasn't happened yet? Why would one need a table for this though? Is there some mathematical formula to apply? If this is what you mean by progression, then I guess it would be possible to turn a profit with this technique. I think it would still be risky though, and one would need a bit of a bankroll to pull it off, it at all.

Incredible and spectacular pick 3 tool
RJOh, I agree with your statement about backtesting. It's a smart thing to do before laying the money out. I disagree with your statement about $50-$500 wins vs. winning an upper tier jackpot game prize. The odds-to-payout ratio is clearly in favor of the pick 3 and 4 player.

Pencil and Paper Jackpot Calculations
hypersoniq, If a system wins coincidentally once in a while and do better than the calculated odds, isn't that's proof that it's doing something right? If spite of all posts about systems that work, if more players back tested their systems, they might come to the same conclusions as you. My systems haven't won any big prizes but picking lottery numbers randomly just isn't my style, win or lose I enjoy picking the numbers I play. Good luck to you. RJOh

Keno, both casino and lottery
In a casino Keno is usually the worst game in the house. Casino profits are usually measured by profits generated per square foot of floor space, and the area required by Keno - the lounge, the playing area, the employees required - do not make it a game whereby the players can profit easily. More than a few Las Vegas casinos have discontinued their Keno lounges. On the other hand video Keno games can offer payout percentages up to and over 95%. The payouts are generally structured toward the

And a double bx in Maryland's evening game with the 117 does me just fine too! I like these odds. Are you feeling me, yet?

HIT Big
Congrats on that hit on the $2 ticket! I also would keep playing and would certainly have a couple of future draw quick-picks in my pocket when I turned in the ticket for validation on a larger win. Despite the odds, I have read a number of stories over the past few years of people who have won a nice second prize as they kept playing the lottery; sometimes several years after the first win. One example that comes to mind is that woman in Colorado (I believe it was Colorado) who won seve

Big Odds Vs. the LOttery:Happened to you before?
Maybe, just maybe, you really don't believe the odds of you seeing a celebrity are against you...so you saw one.Maybe the thought of your past crush didn't seem so far away from a dream come true, and so it happened. I believe you set up the life you want to live....I say eliminate that thought of not possibly winning the lottery and it will surely come to you if you believe it will happen first. Think about this, there are many different ways to make tons of money. The lottery isn't the on
