Getting Wacked by Mega Millions
Shane, MM did not wack you, the people/commission who made the MM number field so HUGE wacked you by making it near impossible odds!
What would happen if EVERYONE boycotted MM for one drawing, maybe even a MONTH? I'll tell you: they would change the game around by lowing the number field!
Once you economically noncooperate, people start to listen ...but most will keep on playing fearing that their numbers will come in the one drawing they don't play. The bigger risk is to capitulate.

Interesting note 0,2,4 in # strings
Hi CalifDude,
That makes my point even stronger. When generating a string for selection, I would be more inline to consider having 0,2,4 in the string more often than not, which seems to be better odds. It already brings the 120 combination to a 85 combination in reduction with still a strong hit count. That also true in consideration of doubles as well.
Thanks for the reply CD

In 25 years, Arizona Lottery raised $5.5B
It was created in 1981, backed by businessmen looking for a tax break.
Twenty-five years later, the Arizona Lottery has made hundreds of people millionaires while awarding $2.9 billion in prizes.
It has contributed more than $1.8 billion to state and local projects and programs, far surpassing the annual revenue hopes of that original group of businessmen.
From new roads and bus shelters to programs for neglected children and funding for state parks, lottery dollars have touched the liv

More lotteries OR Scrath-Offs...
They are printed under tight security by lottery contractors, like Scientific Games, or G-Tech...
The odds are not too good to begin with, but if the State got involved with the printing of them I dam shure wouldn't play em...
As it is, I believe the Lottery Commission knows in advance where the jackpot tickets are to go( so they can track them ? )...which blows the heck out of the random theory.

You are welcome Calabs,
Calculating ALL-States Odds is kinda tricky; you would not know how to point West or East :)
I had Ohio, Tri-state and Ga on my old post, but the numbers do change , and NJ follows NY ....Why not !!!!

i'm new to the lottery and site
Welcome .........
What game or games are you most interested in?
What kind of lottery budget do you have?
I would suggest starting out with the p-3 game because it has the least amount of odds to deal with.

N.C. Lottery to introduce $10 scratch game
You can talk all you want about your buddies not winning anything but 2.00, 3.00 or ticket, but here's a page of nothing but winners, most with scratch off: http://www.nc-educationlottery.org/winners_board.aspx
It doesn't prove that picking your own numbers gives you a greater chance to win. 52% return is still higher than 50% return. $1000 invested in a 52% yielding SCRATCH game will yield a theoretical $520, while $1000 invested in a daily pick-3 game will yield a theoretical $500.
