$450 MILLION: Powerball sales bonanza sparks early jackpot increase
YES! I think it will rollover again and when it does it will easily surpass the previous record PB Jackpot of $590.5 Million won by Gloria C. MacKenzie out of Zephyrhills, FL back in 2013. What with the odds higher than they used to be (since the PB change on October 4, 2015) that translates into the lottery having to sell every permutation and combination possible to guarantee a winner. Thing is that since odds are now higher there can be a set or sets of numbers that simply never get sold and

New York instant scratch off tickets - new tickets with less odds to win
Thanks yp. The $5.00 tickets sound like a waste of money. And the odds to win $500 on the $10.00 tickets are just as you said!
May buy a couple of the $25.00 tix tomorrow, odds are pretty good for a $400 win. But then they more than double the odds to win $500, same as the $7 mil golden ticket - go figure!

What pisses you off the most...?
People who constantly repeat the odds
I get it. But if you knew the odds of having a successful business, you might not waste your time with that, either. Someone is going to win. And for that person, those odds are irrelevant. Besides, it's fun.

How long do you keep playing the same numbers?
That makes me wonder why someone would play a game where the odds 276 million to 1 when they could play something like the Super Lotto where the odds are 40 million to 1.
Because 2nd place odds for a million bucks are 18M for MM and 11M for PB which makes it easier to win one of them than Super Lotto. Plus, many of us don't have a good state lottery to play including me here in Idaho.

How long do you keep playing the same numbers?
It doesn't matter. Your chances are the same no matter what numbers you choose. The chances are the same even if you choose 1,2,3,4,5 and 1. How many times has that won? Your chances would even be the same if all 6 numbers won. You are only playing against the odds. That makes me wonder why someone would play a game where the odds 276 million to 1 when they could play something like the Super Lotto where the odds are 40 million to 1. How much money do you need? The new $30 Calif. scratcher is 3

Post your scratch ticket results
Welcome Drewr4411! I think you will find there are no strategies! Lol! It is just right place right time. Most of us on this board spend a lot on scratchers so it may look like there are consistent wins but don't be fooled. There are consistent losses as well. Just find a budget and stick to it. Most of us play at several different stores which can help your odds. Some stores are hot when others are not. Usually your high volume sales stores are the best. They sell more tickets therefore produce

Why does it have to be so impossible to win the lottery?
The odds of winning a million dollars playing MM are 1:18,499,208 and the odds of winning the Ohio Classic Lotto jackpot are 1:13,983,816 and it's $11.7M or $5.8M cash.
Players who claim they play MM in hopes of winning the second prize of a million dollars aren't fooling anyone except maybe themselves because most state lotteries have jackpots that size with better odds of winning them.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yeah, your odds for the $500 sucks. Our $20 game, the $500 prize odds vary from 1:398 to 1:585.
I rarely play anymore because our games have been screwing around with the odds. The marketing they come up with to explain the new and improved is comical.

Bad habits strike again!
The people that live in smaller populated states have to overcome the high odds of buying more tickets then those more populated states, which is impossible.
everyone, no matter how small or big population has to overcome the high odds. the odds are the same if you live in vermont or california. more people win in california because there are more people playing.

New $30 world class millions ticket here in IL.
I enjoy buying a book of tickets here or there as well in Illinois. I was going to get some of these new tickets today so thanks for posting the odds. The break even prize odds is the same as the other $30 ticket Illinois offered. Buying a book of these tickets and outlaying $900 only has a projected expected value of getting $390 back unless you hit one of the bigger prizes above the $100. The odds on hitting a $500 winner are decent compared to other games. One question I have is the $15 milli
