Looking for Powerball Pool Player
A pool is almost always a loser. Prob988, I am surprised by your above statement given your demonstrated knowledge of odds. By teh way, my buddy tells me he has someone interested in buying Powerball tickets for the group. Given the steady stream of jackpot rolls for both Powerball and Mega Millions, his group will soon be buying tickets. Thanks to all that replied to this request.

Does Lose for Life Employ a Statistician?
Is that game similar to Win for Life in Georgia? At http://www.winforlifegame.com/info/index.php the following is posted. How do you win? The Lottery draws six Winning Numbers, followed by one Free Ball number from a single set of 42 balls. Match the six Winning Numbers to win $1,000 a week for life........ What are the odds? Overall odds of winning any prize are 1:21. 6 of 6 Winning Numbers............................... 1 in 5,245,786 5 of 6 Winning Numbers + Free Ball....

Next MM drawing
I feel good about these numbers so I'm playing them also in Fantasy 5 (minus the number 42). I'm not sure what game these will hit in but the most likely canidate is MM (judging by the previous drawing results) or (shudder) Win For Life. Don't get me wrong, winning WFL would be nice, but the odds are so high for such a small prize, its sort of a pointless game. I'd rather take my luck of getting six numbers right and use it on MM. In other news, I won $20 playing Keno earlier. The be

You guys want to make some money?
The numbers created with this formula would be different for anyone who uses the formula..... Sure, one of the people using the formula will be the winner, depending on how many people using it and mathematical odds. That's quite a formula (i can make like thousands of those, even using the size of my feet). And i've read it's a secret one too... a family secret.

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $101 million
You're welcome, and thanks for the compliment. Especially since it's still fairly new and has only come into play twice so far. I expect that a lot of people aren't familiar with the cap and how it works, especially things like dvdiva expecting that if it goes beyond 365 it will automatically be 390 . I now that when I first read about the 2nd place bonus prize I didn't catch that it would only pay out when there was a jackpot winner. I know there's some truth to the line that lotteries are a

Prediction: $2 Million Spectacular
In Texas, the best scratchoff game to play right now is $2 Million Spectacular (game 418). It's $20 to play, but worth the odds of winning the big one. www.bestscratchoff.com

Forklift operator wins N.D.'s biggest lottery prize
Kevin Green was driving a forklift at work last week when he heard a North Dakota Powerball outlet had sold a $1 million ticket. He didn't think twice about the news, until he heard where the prize winner was sold at the Williston convenience store where Green normally buys his tickets. Green, who had bought 25 Powerball tickets before the March 15 drawing, began scanning the rows of numbers on the slips of paper he pulled from his pocket. I was looking down the line and nothin', nothin

Am I going crazy?
Quote: Originally posted by BobP on March 22, 2006 Ah no, as you would soon find out when trying the strategy. The ezmatch numbers are randomly chosen by the terminal after you submit your numbers. They can all be like your first ticket example, no winning matches between played numbers and ezmatch numbers. As each ticket is printed independently there is no call to the terminal to assign 36 different ezmatch numbers, but it is charged with maintaining the posted odds, so it is more like playing
