The best way to enjoy lottery is not to...
Personally analyzing past lottery drawings and trying to pick a winner is the most enjoyable part of playing lotteries for me. I don't recommend other do it but simply buying a few tickets and checking them after a drawings is just not as enjoyable for me. I don't play the pick3 and pick4 games or buy raffle tickets either but I know players who do and enjoy it. Friends has suggested since I enjoy gambling on the big jackpot lotteries that I might enjoy going to Las Vegas or the tracks but I've

Virginia Lottery's New Year's raffle winning numbers
I had 4 tickets for the Va raffle and didn't get squat - not even close to squat, as a matter of fact - less than squat.
If this isn't due cause for investigation, I don't know what is. Afterall, there were only three million dollar winners and I had four tickets; do the math!
There's something rotten in Richmond. I got a speeding ticket up there too so there's obviously some kind of conspiracy against people from Tennessee.
General Lee would be ashamed.

Why do we play?
Playing the lottery gives me hope that I can put my dreams into action. I love the challenge of choosing my own numbers and if my numbers don't hit I don't get upset. I can choose to try again or sit it out till I'm ready. The difference between the lottery and say a raffle or sweepstake is that even if you don't win......there's always another chance to play.
If winning the lottery were as easy as picking a few numbers and winning then everybody would be winning. We all know the odds are ag

Ohio New Years Raffle Starts November 20th!
When I bought some other tickets tonight about 6:30 p.m.
The Flash sign above the lottery machine flashed 62% of the Raffle tickets were sold .
So that's about 310,000 at that time. But many people buy last minute.
So, I'm guessing they will sell about 400,000 plus as well.

Year-End Review
I don't have an exact figure on my losses in the lottery since I wasn't really keeping track as much in October, but I know I spent around $10 a draw back then, every other night, so over 3 months that's about $450. But I also tried some small wheels a couple times too...and every now and then I'd buy $15 worth of tickets when I was feeling extra enthusiatic...plus I bought 5 tickets at $20 a pop for an end of the year raffle. Oh and I also donated $10 a few times to the powerball draws when the

Poll: What game does "lottery" bring to mind to you?
I chose jackpot games because they have the potential to be more life-altering. You never hear about big jackpots in P3, P4 unless it's the rare case of somebody winning the P4 with twenty tickets or something like that. The big-buck games are in your face more because of advertising so naturally you think of them first (or at least I do).
Also, I've had better luck on the jackpot games than with the others and scratchers.
Raffle games also come to mind because I like those a lot too.

An LP Mixer, Of Sorts
Thursday morning I went to the Lottery district office for the first time. It was the last day of a promotion the FLA Lottery was having where for every $10 you spent you got a chance to play a Plinko board for prizes. The place is similar to any other govt. office in that you take a number then sit down and wait, sometimes for hours. What's different, of course, is that everybody there has that glint in the eye, or I should say, $ signs.
It was the first time I'd been in a place with nothing
