International super lottery to create jackpots of $500 million or more
And believe most regular lottery players would be more than satisfied winning $5 to $10 million. Most the states selling $20 raffle tickets sold out quickly because there were more chances to win $1 millon.
When Powerball makes their changes in January the overall chance of winning something will be lowered but will still be over 1 winner for every 30 tickets sold. With huge number of possible combination, we won't see many time when 3, 4, or 5 players split a jackpot.

What would you do if you had to share your jackpot?
Rubberbandman
This is a silly subject to debate, but what isn't about the Lottery? So I'm curious to hear why you feel your $1 bill is worth more than another person's $1 bill?
You specifically said you would be P*SSED. (disappointed is different) I want to see the rule that says only one top prize will awarded.... To people who get upset over splits, you should probably only purchase raffle tickets or buy scratch-offs.

Can you win a raffle if you don't buy a ticket?

Running an office Powerball pool is discouraging
In my pool, we play both Powerball and Lotto and bought a $10 Millionaire Raffle ticket with our previous winnings. We buy Powerball for the big prizes, Lotto for the better odds.
As for our numbers, we play a combination of numbers we pick and quickpicks, again to balance things out a little.
We've won a few dollars here and there, but we keep trying.

Count your tickets, check numbers
I haven't had anyone try to rip me off lately, just the opposite.
There's a clerk at one place who keeps trying to give discounts on my tickets. Once she saw one line and charged $1 even tho it was a $2 ticket. I showed her and paid cuz I didn't want her drawer to come up short. The next time my order total was $4-something even tho I had bought a $10 raffle ticket. Her boss was there so I just pointed at the ticket and she had to re-ring the whole order. Her boss kept looking at us, I b

Million Dollar Raffles
You're assuming the person is starting off at zero dollars to their name. A millionaire is determined based upon an accumulation of all wealth, not just the lottery prize. And wealth is not just how much money do I have in the bank. It's anything that could be considered a liquid asset.
BTW, here's a listing of all raffles and results so far. It was crazy-difficult putting it together from all the states. (Tracking down which states have raffles, finding the results, stripping out

WI Holiday Millions Raffle
As of round 8:00p tonight, the guy at the local store told me there's only been a little more than 360,000 tickets sold.
Looks like another under sold raffle.
Whoo-hoo, better probability of winning.

Idaho Raffle
Ah, so sorry! That leaves it up to you, Mony! Rootin' for ya!
I'm having second thoughts about buying a ticket if Idaho holds another raffle. I spent fifty bucks(!) on this one with nothing to show for it. I'm thinking I'd be better off spending the $$$ on regular games, cuz this was hugely disappointing to me. I had to go bake a pan of brownies and eat 1/3 of them to feel a bit better. lol
