Canadians need to be creative about buying, redeeming Powerball lottery tickets
Includes video report
With Canadians in a frenzy to get a piece of the U.S. Powerball draw, consumer advocates say people should exercise caution before forking out cash for tickets.
No one matched the Powerball numbers this weekend, meaning the already-record setting prize is now at an estimated $1.3 billion US almost $2 billion Canadian.
The next draw is Wednesday, and the odds to win are close to one in 300 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.

$800 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot approaches billion-dollar range
The odds for PA Pick-2 is 1 in 100, and it's a struggle to win $50 on that. Powerball is ~2,922,201 times more difficult.
To put it another way, the entire population of California (~39 million) could each buy a ticket, and yet still have only a 1 in 7 chance of hitting the jackpot.
While such a large purchase would likely yield some 2nd and 3rd tier winners, a smaller sub-set may not. I regularly check PA Lottery detailed results for Powerball, and there are drawings in which the top base

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Looks like winsum has offered to provide you the updated databases.
Your 5-35 sounds like the cat's meow and if I can offer one bit of advice it would be to settle on one game and
stick to it. They all look the same when dealing with digits but each one has it's own little quirks and moving
around between different games spells disaster. I started playing the P-4 for a few weeks and then returned

Largest-ever UK Lotto jackpot has players... angry?
By Todd Northrop
In the United States, a record jackpot is cause for celebration and waves of ticket-buying, but in the United Kingdom players are bemoaning tomorrow night's record 42.2 million (US$62.62 million) Lotto jackpot and threatening to boycott the game, according to local media reports.
Apparently having a jackpot won frequently is more important to Brits than the size of the pot.
Tomorrow's record 42.2 million jackpot is the result of a record 10th rollover. The reason for th

$63 million California Lottery ticket expires soon
State no longer publishes surveillance video of ticket purchases to find winners
A $63 million Super Lotto prize may become the largest unclaimed prize in California, but many prizes big and small go unclaimed every year, a spokesperson for the California Lottery Commission said Saturday.
Roughly $25 million per year in winnings are not claimed, said Alex Traverso.
So, it's quite a bit of money when you add it up, he said.
The lottery winner in Southern California still has not clai

Your chance of Winning Million dollars are about the same if you buy 1 Ticket or Whole Roll.
lets say winning odds are 1 in 5 million. By the math of statistical probability, count 1 is very close to count 100 or even 1000 when compared to the millions.
A lady in SpringHill , Florida bought only 1 ticket ( and that was her first time playing Florida Cash $25 ticket) and she won 1 mill

Bellagio craps dealer pleads guilty in scam against casino
By David Ferrara
Former Bellagio craps dealer James R. Cooper Jr. pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of felony theft for his role in what prosecutors described as a two-year, $1 million craps scheme.
Last year, authorities noticed a series of winning wagers they said defied 452-billion-to-1 odds.
Between August 2012 and July 2014, Cooper and fellow dealer Mark M. Branco

NJ Lottery officials still investigating cause of massive outage
The exact cause and circumstances of a five-day outage that blocked nearly half of New Jersey's lottery retailers from selling printed tickets like Pick 3 and Mega Millions earlier this month are still a mystery, but a few determinations are unanimous.
The blackout, although anomalous, was unacceptable, may have been detected sooner and should have been handled better, state officials and executives from Northstar New Jersey, the group responsible for the lottery's sales and marketing, said a
