Am I Better Than Random?
I've been playing a static set of numbers in 10 lines in Fl Lotto which is a 6 ball, 53 number lottery. I crunched the numbers for my set of numbers and came up with some stats. I also found very good stats posted by another member here regarding Fl Lotto and odds of winning which I've pasted below, but I'm still not sure if I'm doing better than random:

P-3 Pyramid system
If you're of the mindset that trending digits become hot, before being replaced by other trending digits, I've got a pretty good system for you. Obviously you know my mindset - that it won't raise your odds - but I've seen it work so well sometimes that I've questioned that notion myself.
Basically you take any set of recent numbers (I always seperated midday and evening when I used to use this system) and find about 3 digits that have showed up in every draw. This shouldn't be hard - it

Unhappy with State Lottery
They do not care.
They don't care to hear how you're frustrated with winning only $2 and shelling out $10 or more.
The general attitude at lotter headquarters, concerning scratch offs anyway, in PA is that as long as
there are winners, their games are winners. The winner does not have to be you...as long as they have
winners to boast about they can continue with the illusion the games are worth playing.
It could happen to you

How many draws back to analyze?
Let me point this out: this is the chart of the last 20 games, the first number is how long it had been since the number in that position had hit last. You will notice the majority of lines have at least two numbers that have hit from beyond 10 games old:
17 31 7 8 17
6 19 15 9 12
3 5 42 21 15
3 17 5 25 6
8 12 23 2 1
4 2 2 1 11
22 19 5 14 10
44 1 11 5 5
6 21 3 6 7
18 4 1 4 3
3 1 13 20 1
8 18 11 6 7

Lotto, Scratch Tickets - Rolls Purchased & Questions
Hi Everyone,
I am a new member - just signed up last night - and I have a few questions and some sharing. First I want to thank this web site for existing. What a wonderful resource and from what I can gather from the posts I have read - what nice people too. Kudos!
I have owned Gail Howard's system for a few years and have had decent results but it took me a while to narrow my chosen numbers down to less than all of them. I have never won more than a few hundred on a Pick 5 game but it wa

Does Mathematical Innumeracy foster superstitions and support the belief in them?
DD
Wow, you must of really read this book many times. Luck is a superstition and anyone who thinks it is
responsible for anything is missguided. What many call luck I call chance. The Dunning-Kruger effect is
as common as rain in the Amazon jungle. I must admit that I am confounded by your newley found
wisdom that clearly shows you suffer from D-K. I doubt you took the time to consider the repercussions
your mention of Dunnig-Kruger would generate.
Many who post the work of ot
