How do you determine which scratch-off to buy?
I see where you're coming from now (math). Well, if it's true, then that's bad news for players. I mean, how can they determine the odds for a particular game when they're also factoring game performance into the equation too?
All of those remaining prize amounts cannot be attributed solely to unclaimed tickets IMO. So, essentially, players never had a shot at a significant number of those remaining prizes in the first place, i.e. you're odds were ZERO CHANCE.
Which begs the question, what

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Because one of the possibilities is winning. And with enough tickets bought, it's more likey to be won than not. And because over a few draws, it's very likely to be won by someone.
And because if you flipped a coin and guessed it right you wouldn't call it beating the odds. Extrapolate the logic out, and you'd have to realize that getting lucky doesn't mean you beat the odds - only that you got the best possible result possibel within the existing odds.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Or play if you want, but don't delude yourself about getting better odds.
I still play the lotto from time to time. Of course, even if you did understand what some people here do, that wouldn't mean that you wouldn't play, or even that you'd play just as little as I do, only that you'd probably play in a more appropriate way with your money (although, I don't actually know your budget, your personal finances, etc. to say what is or isn't appropriate.) And you may go and find yourself bet

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Let me just point out how you (and Ronnie you do this, too) make a point, and then claim that you never said that and you really were saying something else. First you posted how other people make you lose at blackjack, which is why you quit. Specifically, after I said that they don't affect your odds, you replied with..... (Ronnie does it by claiming his claims are undisputable fact and that a buffoon could do it, and then claiming it's all experimental and just for fun, depending on what's conv

Lotto Strategy - Odds of winning vs Chances of winning
I think butch2030 was trying to explain odds and chances aren't the same things. For example in 6 of 49 game your odds of matching 3 are 1:57 but your overall chances of matching 3 or better are 1:54, so your chances of matching 3 are better than your odds of matching 3.
You can test this by comparing the winning drawing with the previous 54 drawings of any 6/49 games for 10 drawings or more and you will average a match 3 or better the same number of times or more.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Ok whatever. You can't change the odds ever, at any time, using any method that doesn't draw from physical biases that are undetectable on the lottery unless you commit a felony.
I'm saying you don't have better odds. At all. Believe what you want, but if you really think that you have better odds, you're living in a fantasy world.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
The odds weren't reduced.
in that drawing the odds were reduced from 3,819,816 to 1 to 98,280 to 1.
It's not about 1 in 39 or 1 in a million, just the fact when a group of 28 numbers matches five numbers, the odds are reduced. Your argument makes no sense because several people successfully predicted their 28 number group would match five numbers before the drawing. Just because your group crapped out doesn't mean when it does finally match five the odds are not reduced in that drawing

Which One is Worst Odds Lottery?
Use to be when lotteries first became popular, odds on the back of play slips were based on dollars spent because some allowed 2 or 3 chances for a dollars. But after they started charging 2 to 20 dollars per chance, they stopped that.
If lotteries still posted odds by dollars spent, some of those million dollars raffles tickets selling for $20 would look like rip-offs compared to the odds of winning a million dollars buying a $2 MM or PB ticket.

List of the Best places to get quickpicks from?
Playing quick picks is really bad odds. I've been writing a website that runs statistic lotto data (nothing fancy, just something I'm doing as a hobby... can't post it because of the forum's rules). There are certain rules you can follow to increase your odds (based on the historical dat) but playing quick picks... What you're doing is trying to get a random set of numbers (quick pick) to match another random set of numbers (numbers that were drawn). Don't get me wrong, statisically speaking, a

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Every time Ronnie matched five numbers, I entered his 28 numbers into various wheels using the same order he posted. And when he matched five numbers plus the bonus number, there was a five number match using a 4931 combo 4 if 4 covermaster wheel. While 4931 combos are not exactly a 95% reduction, maybe I should said a 94.98% reduction.
I know there is only one five number match in 5/28 matrix and some calculate the odds of 4931 combos matching five numbers as 98,280 to 4931 or 20 to 1, but
