Holiday Raffle Games
I got suckered in by my other half to by ONE ticket for the holiday raffle. There were drawings for an additional $10k. I predicted where the winners were going to be drawn from and was 85% correct. I call it the winner's belt. I also anticipate a repeat of the 4th of July drawing to occour in our state. Winners of the large sums/prizes will be concentrated in and around the following areas:
Charlotte, Wilmington, Ashboro, Raleigh, Asheville, Hickory, Durham. Smaller amounts will be scatter

Have you ever missed out?
I don't know what you mean by should have won since you either played a game or you didn't. However, I completely understand your reaction, since I've been very, very close to a huge jackpot, but close doesn't count.
I live in FL too and, if you look at my past posts, I've purchased tickets in Sweetbay many times and someone won about $24M last night. I've also bet the same numbers for almost 14 years and they've hit the Play-4 or Fant 5 but not Lotto. Some of us had raffle tickets t

Which is the Smarter Bet?
OK CoinToss and Justxploring, you're both right. What I meant was, the odds are good on the House giveaway, but there are other factors involved - Is the house somewhere you want to live, can you pay the taxes if you win, will you be able to afford property taxes and potentially higher utilities EVERY YEAR? With all due respect to St. Judes, how about can you trust the raffle is fair? That said, it's also a charity which has other rewards. Certainly, the odds on Lotteries are higher, but yo

Which is the Smarter Bet?
It be smarter to spend $100 on a Dream Home raffle ticket. You can flip it, or make it a rental income, if you win.
I would buy 1 $100 ticket and pray. :)
Good Luck.

Which is the Smarter Bet?
One in 7,777 is pretty good odds, but the entry price is pretty steep. For $100, you could buy 100 chances on your state Lotto or Powerball. The odds of hitting Powerball are fairly high - 1 in 46 million. Of course, hitting the second prize is easier, 1 in 3 million, and comparable to the prize on the house raffle.
Of course, the caveat is being able to pay the taxes on your winnings, should you be selected. It's also important to remember that your odds don't improve by buying more ti

Idaho Raffle
I just checked the official Idaho website and all the tickets are gone! They really sold out fast.
Drawing:
The drawing will be conducted on December 31, 2007, or as soon as December 26th, depending on the sale of the last Raffle ticket, and is subject to Lottery rules, regulations and state law.
It's looks like the drawing will be held the day after X-mas since all the tickets sold out early. Good luck to all of us who bought tickets!

Idaho Raffle
Wish the Raffle tickets were $10 in Florida. They're $20 each. There will be 12 million dollar winners out of 1,500,000 tickets sold. They will probably sell out before the end of the month, but they're not moving as quickly as they did last year. I don't know if I will buy one this time, but I would have found that $10 price to be more attractive because I'd want to buy a few tickets at different times.
I wish you a lot of luck, Lilly. Hope you win the million!

convicted felons and jackpot winnings
I'm a bit of a hard ass, but once you committed a crime that has you sitting behind bars, its rough I know, but you don't get the prize. While there a wide array of felonys from something as simple as illegal gun/narcotics possesion to violent crimes or white collar crimes, our system does group them all together. And in the case of the raffle it should go to the back-up winner or what ever rules were in place incase of an invalid winner.
But if your in jail, awaiting a hearing or something w
