computerized drawings set to take over the lottery in a few years?
i agree.tennessee lost its credibility.
tennessee had a pretty good thing going.they had a pick 3 and pick 4 twice a day.a good pick 5 game that reaches up to half a million or sometimes a million that was drawn three times a week.they had powerball.plus we have some very good scratch offs plus a raffle recently.
pretty damn stupid of them to switch to RNG.i never ever would've thought this would happen.jimmysand9 had actually pointed it out first when he saw that part on the website

would you sit in on a live lottery drawing if invited to attend?
Actually I am going to the DC Raffle drawing on Tuesday the 28th. The DC Lottery sent me an invite and I replied, was one of the first 50 (apparently only 100 replied overall) and was invited to go.
I am only attending to see what it is like and also they are giving some nice prizes..scratch-offs, t-shirts, etc. to attendees. I am dragging my non-lottery playing wife since it is on the way to work and is Tuesday morning (an odd time to do this I think). And free coffee and donuts!
So I

Kentucky Lottery Lucky 7's raffle results
I wasn't able to logon to the Kentucky Lottery's website until later Tuesday morning. Thanks for this website, Todd! You do great work here.
I bought three tickets, didn't win anything. A raffle is the only RNG game I will play.
BTW Chip Polston of the Kentucky Lottery is cool. He was featured recently on a local news story about winning lottery prizes on a local Louisville television station.

UK Lottery operator plans $500 million global lottery game
With MM and PB odds of 1:176M and 1:146M base on a $1 ticket, with similar odds based on $5-$15 ticket might make the game less appealing in the states.
The exchange rates have alway made such a lottery almost impossible since even spending the equivalent of a dollar for a lottery ticket in some countries could cut deep into the average family budget.
Sounds like it won't a weekly game but a one shot deal at special times during the year which will make it more like a raffle than a regul

Hoosier Lottery
Hey Jeff,
<>I wrote about this a couple of weeks ago. The Hoosier Lottery has not been won for over 9 months now...since October 17, 2006! Eighty (80!) draws on a straight 6/48 game and no jackpot winner!
<><>This is unbelievable to me. A straight Pick 6 game...drawn twice a week...and not one single winner in almost 10 months! One possible explanation is that sales are so pathetic that this is just the natural results of low sales. Of course the Hoosier Lottery wi

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
you make some valid points......but the original post was from someone that said they won a raffle .....that wouldn't indicate that he was on to something other than sheer luck.
I just feel that anything posted is in jeopardy of attack and I think that would naturally make people wary of posting anything...
I could be wrong, it's happened before.....HA!
Best of Luck to US ALL!!!!!

Location Location
Great story, dld1961! About 20 years ago I worked with a woman who won around $400,000 in the slots. I'm still waiting!
Sector, where did you get that idea? I wouldn't say the Raffle Tickets were evenly spread at all. There are many parts of Florida where nobody won and several winners in other areas. Usually it's spread out by population, which makes sense. Look at the 12 winners of the top prize. The first listed is Miami (where else? lol) Hialeah Gardens is also part of Miami.

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
Why would printing the tickets in numerical order make it any different? If the winning number is drawn randomly, then for all practical purposes the number that gets printed on any given ticket is random. That number is only an identifier for the ticket, and anything that could differentiate one ticket from another would work just as well. Consecutive numbers are simply the easiest way to identify individual tickets and exclude unplayed numbers from the drawing.
As for a store printing extra

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
It's hard to figure when one of those raffle tickets were actually purchased.....a Friend of mine thought she missed he opportunity to purchase a one for the last game, but she found a little Party Store owner that had printed some extra tickets before they were sold out......
Guess the store owner knew some of his Customers were gonna be late to get to the store, so he still had some to sell after they were sold out ....
Just thought I'd share that story.......thought it was pretty cle
