What's your poison?
I see that a large part of the players here are on the pick 3/4 games and then mega and powerball. So to some maybe it's the odds that determine thier game of choice and to others the jackpot amount? I went thru a phase playing multiple, same tickets on pick 3 (because of the odds, and no taxes on wins) where I thought spending $10 a day was huge. Now I'm playing little lotto and don't bat an eye over $50 a draw if I feel I have a good shot at 100k+. Maybe this should be a poll? Anyway, I'm eith

Florida Lottery holding back winning scratchers?
I've bought over 300 Triple Bingo's in the past month and the highest I've gotten on one ticket is 21$. The odds of getting 21$ is 1 in 100 and I've gotten it about 10 times. The odds of getting 40 or 50$ is about 1 in 500, I haven't gotten that even once. Even though the Triple Bingos have terrible odds once it goes past 50$, I still enjoy them mainly due to the extended play and suspense. Overall, stay far away from the triple bingos if you're looking for profit. They are good if you're in to

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
There's a reason the overall average lottery prize is 1/10 the overall odds of winning. A player may some times beat the odds of winning but the lottery isn't going to lose any money if he does.
Truth is most lottery players don't care about systems or strategies to beat the odds. Systems and strategies are the tools of players who's hobby is playing lotteries.

Do U Spend More Than $500 A Week On Lottery !!
So you can read jokers mind? I don't think so, but I think I can read your mind RJ. RJ I think you are thinking about high odds jackpot games like MMillions and Pball. Yes in that case joker would have a point. But the discussion has gone all over the place from P3 to MM PBall now, in that, you are thinking that joker is speaking of the high odds games. In that case then we are strictly talking of the top tier prizes, not p3 or p4 the low odds games or the lower tier jackpot prizes, because gene

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
Based on the general fact that when the average lotto player picks their own numbers, they will pick low numbers less than 31 (based on birthdays, etc.) and a lot of the numbers selected will be ages of children, etc., there will always be a lot of winners for the lower prizes particularly. Based on the odds of the game...575,757 it appears that at most there were probably only 125,000 tickets sold at a $1 a play. This can be determined by multiplying the number of winners in each category by th

Record $95M Lotto Max lottery jackpot drawing tonight
dude where did you get these odds? the actual odds of winning the main prize is 1 in 89 million. because you get 3 sets of numbers they say the odds are 1 in 28 million.
1 in 85 thousand? hard to fathom. 46 combos pulled and not all are won. me thinks the calculations are wrong.

Statement on Illinois Lottery Tickets
yea they got problem competing. Jackpot level progresses by 250k or 500k each time, so no more than a million tickets gets bought each draw.
IL Lotto is tricky, they appear to give you a good deal, 1 dollar two draws, and one might think one has chance to win Jackpot with 1 in 10 milliion odds, but those odds are based on two lines or $1.00. If you play only 1 line, then actual odds 1 in over 20 mil

Colorado Lottery starts Mega Millions sales Sunday
The REAL joke with these games is the payouts they give for lower prizes. The odds for 3 + 0 is 1 in 306, but the payout is $7. Quid? The odds of 3 + 1 are 1 in 15,313 (greater than the odds of winning Pick-4), but the prize is $150 (significantly less than the top prize of Pick-3!) This is why I have decided to not play these games again (that, and I would have no idea what to do with the money if I did win!) The only games I will play are the Pick-3 and the Pick-4. The top prizes are low, but

Just Be A Player To Win Mega Millions And Powerball
If you have enough money to buy every combination then you don't need to play the lottery at all.
Odds and chance are two different things. The odds will always be the same no matter how many tickets you buy. Why? Because there will always be only 1 combination that will be the winning combination. Buying more tickets/lines will increase your chances of winning, not your odds.

Traveling to Play Lottery
MarkP
The Illinois lottery is pulling the cut the odds in half baloney with the posted odds for the Lotto.
Do a search for a 6/52 game and see what the odds are.
Right now the Loto is $6.5 million as you posted, but it starts at @ million and the progression is a real grind.
I think it's far better to play Powerball and the Powerplay hoping for 5 + 0.
Lotto, posted odds: 1:10,179,260
Odds as stated on back of playslip: 1:20,358,520
Powerball, odds against 5 + 0: Second Prize
