71 % good chance ...and thats a lot for anything lottery.
There you go off on another tangent....about doubles and this post was not about Doubles....the post is about Single Six way numbers .
.....and now there you go Again talking about percentages !
The focus on this post is on the ODDS not the various percentages for various states.
Odds are Odds .....and are the same no matter what state or Pick 3 game.
If I say ...... theOdds are 27% that the next draw is a double .....your liable to crank up some obscure Percentage ......

Is Arizona cursed?
and still...no big JACKPOT!
Umm, you do know the odds are a bit steep, right? Whether there was never a PB winner in AZ or there were 3 last year, your odds of winning are always based on the game odds and how many tickets you buy.

New service for New Jersey scratch-off players
I hope this isn't considered spam, but I think this is pretty handy. You see, the lottery in NJ doesn't tell you what the odds are of winning a particular prize, and even their overall odds quote is just a vague estimate. But with the information they do give, I was able to calculate the odds for their instant games. It's here (or the first wave of games are here) at http://thelottogeek.freehostia.com/NJScratch.html. Now, they are in Excel format, but there is a link to download a free Excel vie

How does "Win for Life" games work?
Kentucky pays quarterly so the winner gets a check for $13,000 minus the taxes every three months.
Win for Life has a set jackpot so how much profit the lotteries can make off games like that depends on the volume of pay and odds against winning. With odds of 1:5,245,786 to win the jackpot, they don't expect to have more winners than what they take in. Coupled with overall odds of winning anything at slightly under 1:40, the lotteries can make a nice percentage profit too.

Predicting number patterns?
I try to work with patterns and odds. For example, in Tx 2 Step on Jan 22, 21-24-26-29 played. On Mar 16, 24-29-31-34 played. On Mar 30, 21-24-28-30 played. On Apr 13, 21-26-28-29 played. So there is a pattern with 21-24-26 and 29... with some other numbers in there. I also try to reduce the odds by playing fewer decades. Of course the drawing has to cooperate. If the first number is a single or teen, I'm screwed. But hey, it IS still gambling. And of course, Tx 2 Step odds are only 1,832,600 to

Lottery Pool/Club
Bobp,
I'm not sure if I understand your post. Any single ticket has the same odds of winning as the others. If you buy ticket A, the odds may be 1:13M - and when you buy the second ticket B the odds are still 1:13M - even using the same numbers as ticket A. And the odds played for 1-2-3-4-5-6 is the same - but not a ticket I would not really want unless you are playing the flukes.
The goal is to buy as many tickets as possible in a logical fashion to increase the chances of hitting the jac

TN players beware...
Ummm....you do realize that the 'odds' you quote have nothing to do with how valuable a ticket is, right?
A ticket might win more often than another, but have a worse overall return.
Think about this: If there was a million ticket run of a scratch off ticket, and the top prize was $1 million dollars, but that was the only prize, would that be fair?
Oh you bet it would! That would mean that your total expected return is 100%! (if you bought all the tickets, you would at least make back y

TN players beware...
A new $20 scratch off is coming... Millionaire Club or whatever... Just log on to the website and I'm sure you'll see more than enough about it. I've not been impressed with TN's $20 scratch offs thus far. Now, I do like the top prize (likely annuity); however, TN's odds for $20 scratch offs have been HORRIBLE. Some $5 tickets have been odds of winning that the $20. (i.e Sapphire Blue 7's $5 has overall odds of 1:3.07 whereas winter loser land had 1:3.25) Again, remember, millions of tickets are

Best Odds to win a Million dollar Lottery Raffel !
Maybe it's just that a lot of people are smart enough to look at more than the odds. The odds are meaningless without also looking at the risk and thereward. In this case you're risking 50 times as much as on a typical lottery ticket, so a better view is to compare this to a lottery with odds of 1 in 1.55 million. You can do better than that on some of the pick 5 games if they roll over a few times. Then there's the actual value of the house. An offer to buy it for half a million, after the winn

Missing All Odds Thus Far Midday 10/25/08
So far for the midday we do not have any representation of the all odds (OOO).
Let's see if NC or CA will give us our all odd draw(s) for the midday.
