If you could win any lotto game.
I wouldn't care if it were a local church raffle. I just want to win something one of these days! I remember when I was 12 I won a dance contest at a Bar Mitzvah. The prize was a 45. (For those of you from the CD generation, I'm talking about a record, not a gun.) It was Mickey's Monkey by the Miracles and the song I danced to was My Boyfriend's Back. So you can see I need a win badly. As far as which game I'd prefer, it's probably the Florida Lotto. Even though the winner's name is pub

N.Y. Lottery's King Kong Millions makes 6 millionaires
There was one first-prize ticket in New York's King Kong Millions lottery game, worth $55 million before taxes, in Monday's drawing, which coincided with the New York City premiere of the new movie King Kong. That ticket was sold in Nassau County.Five second-place tickets had a pretax value of $1 million each. The other four were sold in Niagara, Bronx, Steuben and Ontario counties. One of the $1 million second-prize tickets was sold at the Stewart's Shop on state Route 212 in Saugerties.Lotte

PowerBall odds for 100 tickets?
Cool, where did you hear that one from? I won't be checking my numbers until Tuesday morning, and will be leaving my tickets in the visor until then. Course I am not sure if this will work if it is planned maybe you just have to actually be idiotic? But I did see the drawing, and I am not too thrilled by instinct, and memory alone. I remember thinking last night while looking at my tickets that these are all pretty good combos, but if this number or that number comes up I am screwed. I believ

Giving out lottery tickets for Christmas?
Anyone here give out lottery tickets for Christmas? I usually don't, because I just could not stand wondering whether or not I am actually giving out the big prize that I have been waiting myself so long for. As a dedicated lottery player this is really hard to do. Probably like a smoker giving away their last pack of cigs. But wouldn't it be strange if you did give out a multi-million dollar winning ticket, and it was to the right person who actually at least shared it with you, and you both wer

PowerBall odds for 100 tickets?
Well said. It is about what YOU believe is possible for your life, not what others do not believe is possible. Funny thing is I had this so called friend for a long time who was nothing but ''negative and resentful, and provided disbelief in all my aspirations on a daily basis. However my positive mindset was still far stronger, and more superior to his pessimistic mindset. I have done everything that he was not able to do, and everything that he said I would not be able to accomplish. In fact

LOTTERY’S First-ever millionaire raffle
Funny I went out looking for a ticket, but could not find one. I assumed it must have been a scratch off type found in machines. Finally I asked about them, and if they had the raffle tickets. Then they printed one out at the TERMINAL. I did not even know they were printed out. I also did not ask for one, I simply asked if they had them. But I was no way in hell going to let that possible mistake ticket sit. We all know what would be the case then. But I did go there with the intentions of

Number Selection
I use a combination all of all the above. Has anyone ever built their own ball dispenser? I remember doing this when I was a kid with some ping pong balls and a milk jug. I am currently working on a updated version that is a little more technologically advanced. :) Course I am sure the clerk at Walmart was wondering why I was buying 10 packs of table tennis balls, circle labels, and black markers. Course I am sure someone else has had to have done so, maybe to hold their own raffle or somethi

state lottery games
If I had to go with one that exists now it would be Powerball. But if I had my druthers I'd rather see a new one launched in NM..... something run by the mob, one of the tribes, or some religious institution. Something they draw out of a big, clear drum and look surprised when they see who wins. It's kinda satisfying to see a priest, a rabbi, a preacher or tribal governor better himself. Or at least know the money's helping to keep organized crime a growth industry in these hard times. We've act

Ohio Lottery could be hurt by casinos
There's something mildly amusing about the concept of a lottery operation 'losing money' to a gambling house operation. When you stop and think about it, the only folks who lose money gambling, be it lotteries or gambling casinoes, are the gamblers. The house (government lotteries) would certainly like to limit the number of ways and places gamblers can choose to lose their money, but when someone left the barn door open for Native casinoes the horse and most of the cows got out (not to mentio

OHIO: expect new Lotto by early 2004
CASHonly,I've seen your post, but haven't read any news locally to support your prediction. The lottery commission did have a survey with 3K replies, but they never posted any follow-up. They have been giving a free QP with $5 Buckeye5 play, a free QP with a match3 in the 649P game and a raffel ticket for a trip to an all star game in Chicago with $5 Megamillions tickets. For now it looks like they are going with these cheap kinds of promotions to increase ticket sales.I don't send in my raff
