I'm going over and over this, Adobea, but having a difficult time comprehending it. It could be it's relying on knowledge that I don't have with just this example (like, where those numbers came from? 408, 501, etc.? and other things presented). Florida Treasure Hunt - is anybody winning at all?
I play at least 5 two-dollar tickets a day, and the results are pretty good. But out of maybe 150 Florida Treasure Hunt tickets (game 1246) I've bought in the 5 weeks it's been going (Aug 12, 2014), I've gotten maybe 5 winning tickets, for $2 or $4. 8XX Missing last 42 Draws, Review.Reply
Ok so i went back and actually counted it. It is now actually 42 draws missing. when i started the thread it was 40 draws missing. $2 cards are worthless. $5 cards have considerably higher top prizes and noticeably better odds of winning a prize. You're just flushing your money down the toilet with $2 garbage cards. I've hit several $100 cards playing $5's, while every single person I know who plays $2's loses money virtually every time. The sister of an acquaintance of mine won $250 grand on a $5 card - try telling her they're junk . The typical top prize on a $2 card is only around $20 grand. Better to buy two $5

I'm glad to see someone post something like this, because there are many people who refuse to admit it. I came close to getting addicting to the lottery but then I opened my eyes and started tracking just how much I was throwing away....after a year of this I discovered just how much it was and immediately all the things I could've 'better' spent the funds on came to my mind. Lotteries aren't charity and they don't care if you go bankrupt giving them money; hard truth, but still truth.
