California Lottery officials seized surveillance footage from store that sold Powerball ticket
with you sirbrad about reminding the winners. But I would wait for at least three months before airing the footage. Of course, the winner can have a call made anonymously to the lottery office and stop all the speculation, rumours, etc. The winner needs only to provide the 18 digit number above the bar code on the front side of the ticket.
I hope that the winner does not live in Chino Hills,CA. Then his/her family members, friends, would have no suspicion that he/she is the winner. His/her

TN Powerball Winners on the Today Show
Idiots...what kind of lawyer did they hire? One who wants 15 minutes of fame. What a sharp attorney! He is sure to get his share of the pie. Unbelievable. The threat to the security of this couple before the ticket has even been authorized is unreal. People are murdered for $100. What would someone do for $500,000,000? Unbelievable. They should have taken time and created an LLC and claimed it that way. They have plenty of time to get things set up and still remain anonymous until the time comes

Are you ready for the attention?
lejardin --- I agree with you about the too much money part. I've always felt that too much money in the hands of one person is obscene. My goodness, there are 3rd world countries that don't have billion dollar budgets. I once joked about security software entrepreneur, John McAfee, who was accused of murder while he was living in Belize ... suggesting that McAfee was so rich, he could hire mercenaries to take over Belize and install himself as absolute dictator. Fortunately, I think he's probab

Are you ready for the attention?
Ooops, my post didnt reply to you Teddi....
Well although I agree, I have another committal to a split. Even with a split, it is just too much money for one person, I admit I would be overwhelmed and unprepared to deal with it all. That team of advisers would be a necessity . But I can assure you I will be out of the media, and a good thing I like myself because I can be alone lol, just me, my security system, self protection and my Doberman Pinscher aka toy poodle.
I already had to eat my

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Yeah I've read so many very, very astute people's comments regarding taking the annuity and the downsides definitely outweigh the upsides. Pretty much a no brainer now that everyone has both commented on LP and all over the internet as to the pitfalls of going with the annuity.
Seems the most popular argument FOR the annuity is that a winner will not be able to burn through all their cash which is totally WRONG!
I present good old Bud Post (May he rest in peace) who before winning wa

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
When has America or anywhere else ever been 100% safe ? I think for the most part people are just very self-centered and paranoid. Those who have issues are in the minority, you only hear about them because they are extreme cases and that is what makes news. All of those who won big that have had no issues are considered boring and not newsworthy. Nothing will stop me from living my dream. You can't let your perceived fear of what you think might happen stop you. Most who had problems were idiot

PA New Year's Raffle
There was a problem with the Raffle drawing ...
The Lottery also announced that the holders of 348 Millionaire Raffle tickets sold after 8 p.m. on January 2 as the result of a sales system error will be eligible for a refund of the $20 purchase price. Under the game rules, only tickets sold before 8 p.m. may be considered for the drawing.
Those tickets, bearing the numbers 00473914 to 00474261, show a draw date of April 14, 2025. To claim a refund, those tickets should either be taken to o

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yes you are stating the obvious here. I reacted to your use of the word padding. To me that suggests that you are implying that the FL Lottery is placing winning tickets in certain areas. So I'm pointing out that this would be against basic security fraud prevention protocols that all lotteries enforce, and actually not even possible (given these policies are stringently followed and collusion is kept in check; obviously there could be corruption but I don't think we can assume there is any goin

l want to win the lottery because...
Great answers! I've enjoyed reading them.
To add to the I can and Detroit Red Wings Season Tickets , I'll add because someone has to win and I'd like season tickets to all the local pro sports teams. And I'd like an upgrade to my Camry, please, like to a BMW.
And financial security being the main reason. Too many things happened to that nice little nest egg my ex and I built - divorce, economy, etc etc. I have everything I need now and minimal retirement savings, but what happens when

8 state lottery websites + Powerball & Mega Millions sites offline
The amount of traffic to lottery websites is relatively tiny compared to even smallish popular websites which feature lots of video and interactive multimedia. Serving mostly static pages doesn't take much resources. Heck, when PA Lottery is overloaded, they switch to showing a simple static webpage. Why hasn't MUSL?...
My hunch, to echo that of some others here, the downtime is security related. Sudden shutdown with little to no explanation is worrisome. Maybe MUSL websites were hacked to ri
