$550 MILLION: Mega Millions holiday bonanza!
It seems like no concerns over the odds being ridiculous against you now. How fast people forget about everything with the amount being so high. Wake up people! You are like a baby feeding into this garbage. You stand a better chance of getting hit by an asteroid or comet. Think about a list of things you have more than likely getting than the jackpot. Now that's the fact of the matter. If you feel like you must play get one ticket only and let it be, but don't overdo it. How about that

Just bought MM quickpick, not knowing odds got even more absurd
Remember, this is a Jackpot game. It's all Luck when it comes down to it. The odds, yes, extreme. It can roll to our Earth blows up. But, It's a Jackpot game and luck is all it is to win. So play it or do not, because it has the You never know factor and that factor happens to some people some times? Lot more 5 of 5's without the MB than I expected so far. Makes you wonder just a little bit on how to play the M-ball? Can't play'em all with your set. But, I'm sure some people do that, ju

Newbie from P.a Scratch off Questions
Dr65, Thanks alot. I play mostly the games with alot of the top prizes left. I also once a week recalculate the odds of these games. I mostly play $2 $5 and $10 but have played quite a few $20's also. I guess I'm pretty bad really, I'll actually go into a few local places and look in the trash for multiple losers on the same game and see if the next ticket #'s are available. I'll also look at poorly scratched off tickets without the code block scratched off and scan them

$400 MILLION: Massive Mega Millions lottery jackpot set for Friday
As LottoMeto points out, duplicate tickets make it far less simple than that. Selling 1/3 of the combinations can be done without selling far more than 86.33 million tickets (259/3). As you sell more and more combinations, the chances of selling additional duplicates goes up. Here's a simplified explanation. If it was all random, once 10% of combinations had been sold we'de expect that 10 of the next 100 tickets would duplicate combinations that had already been sold. Once 20% have been sold

Playing the same numbers for years or changing up from draw to draw?
Now that most of the Michigan games are RNG there is no point in playing the same numbers over and over. Why would they let you win a jackpot when they know they will be getting a dollar from you every draw? I have numbers I have been playing on the Fantasy Five since it started and the odds are that they should win $100 by the end of the year. They have not won over $10 yet. I will let you know if they do hit for $100. In fact anybody who has been playing the same numbers on Fantasy

Orwell On the Lottery, if you haven't read 1984 you must!
It was during the Han Dynasty in China between 205 and 187 BC that what could be called the first lottery was ever recorded. This lottery was in the form of Keno notes which would be distributed and the winner receiving a small prize. The government started this lottery in order to help fund government projects, such as the Great Wall of China. In Europe it was during the Roman Empire that lotteries began cropping up. At this time lotteries were given in the way of dinner parties and every

Florida: 12/1 - 12/31/2013
Thanks CSenior. I am backtesting and on paper I get 1-2 straights a week on previous draws. So far going forward my picks are doing about 1/8 to 1/4 as well as they do in backtesting. That does beat the odds, but it doesn't beat the takeout. At least this time my wander-offs stayed close to home by coming up the pick 4 game. Anyway, I enjoy the challenge and I am going to keep trying. I want to be good at making picks and I will not be a noob forever! Congrats on your hits. Wit

I love seeing cheaters get shut down
I dont understand what you are trying to say. Who is cheating and who has been shut down? They just changed the powerball matrix. 400 million to one odds sounds nice to who? You smile when people lose? You must be the prince of darkness.
