NC Tickets Printed
This is how I work out the tickets printed on this game. http://www.nc-educationlottery.org/uploads/docs/htp344.pdf The odds of winning the top prize are 1:720,000 and there are 4 top prizes. Therefore it means that there are 720,000 X 4 = 2,880,000 tickets printed. I hope a math major at LP can check on my calculations and correct me if I am wrong

Indiana woman has second major lottery win
There was a case in Indiana I believe a while back where somebody at the lottery or the printer told his friends where to buy the big winning ticket. They got busted though. I'm not saying that's what's going on in this case. Maybe she just discovered a good way to better her odds by buying from new packs that still have all the winners in them. And I congratulate her on that if that's the case.

Pulling it together in Ohio
dont feel like going through all the stuff i usually do crunching numbers tonight for tomorrows picks, but off top .... 02 and or 03 should hit back pretty quick...... 44 should hit this week, and i think as a front pair, 44x, unless a 4 hits in front or middle previous to 44 hitting then that could alter that assumption because..4xx and x4x HAVE TO HAPPEN FAST......... also 77 ,55,11 all look good for one more hit this week....... they gotta give up one or a couple of these front pairs

CNBC writer looking for lottery players
You're right and I'm wrong, sorry. I guess I better start playing at least 10,000 tickets for every drawing because I'm not getting any younger. Heck, maybe I'll play 20,000 tickets every draw in PB with 175 million to 1 odds, cause I'm in my late 40's. Longest jackpot run ever for Florida Lotto
If you must play now. You might consider nixing the quickpicks now (what are the odds of hitting with quickpicks twice in one month?) and maybe You should reinvest those winning you got, into 2 $50 dollar wheels. OR Four $25 dollar wheels OR Three $33 dollar wheels.

$425 MILLION: Powerball jackpot raised again
I have received harsh criticism for that philosophy from the Stooges who think they can get EV playing the lottery. Oh man, don't get me started on EV and large jackpots. Any time I see some so called mathemetician expert on TV talking about a large jackpot and saying it is a good buy because of positive EV, I just want to smack them upside the head! That's my pet peeve. They might know theoretical, but they don't understand gambling and the practicality of long odds jackpot games. EV has

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Depends on how you figure odds. The chances for a jackpot are 2:2.7 millions. If it makes you sleep better knowing you have 2 chances to win and 2,704,156 chances to lose, I won't wake you up. I explained the mathematics in a thread. Members explain all sorts of stuff on 201,368 threads and in 3,061,571 posts. Did you read everyone of them? I didn't.
