Trying Something New
Got it today!
I got a quick pick of spread out numbers. An aught, a teen, two 30's and two 40's.
They automatically send me a check if I win between $100 and $200. Second place prizes of $2500 and $5000 require a claim form with social security number. The $2 and $4 prizes accumulate and they send a check when the balance is $10 or higher. If less than $10 they send a check when the season ticket expires. Happy to know the smaller prizes won't go unclaimed just because it's not worth trave

Hot Lotto case moves to jury for deliberations
What if Tipton didn't buy the ticket but another insider ...
Based on what we know that's certainly seems like it might be possible. The Lottery is admitting that they've got lousy security protocols that can't prevent people from tampering with the equipment, so who's to say somebody else didn't do exactly what they're claiming Tipton did? The problem with somebody else setting Tipton up to take the fall is that several of the people who seem to have been involved in trying to collect the

Legal wheels turning after rigged Hot Lotto drawing uncovered
After months of investigation and legal wrangling, legal actions against two men accused of rigging a multi-state Hot Lotto computerized drawing are proceeding.
When Sugar Land, Texas, resident Robert C. Rhodes endorsed Eddie Tipton on the professional networking website LinkedIn, he deemed his friend and former business partner as someone very focused on the bottom line and someone he would work with again in a second.

Iowa man nearly lost $1 million Powerball prize
Pete Kemp of Des Moines , Iowa. Do not forget the rest of the Federal Taxes owed. The IRS is not satisfied with just 25% . They want 39.6% total Federal taxes. That works out to be a total of $396,000.00 . Not $250,000.00

Texas legislature to consider lottery winner anonymity bill
This actually came to me from a constituent who told me she aspires to win the lottery but she lives on the border and she is afraid of somebody kidnapping her for a ransom Guillen, D-Rio Grande City, said.
But beyond that, we all have heard many stories about being hassled a great deal, folks who win the lottery are hassled by people asking them for money, Guillen said. This will give them the opportunity, the option, that if they want to be anonymous they can be anonymous.

Texas man charged in Iowa lottery case contests extradition
If you read the earlier article you'll find that it answers most of your questions. Writing a program that chooses particular numbers on a particular day is simple. Since the program's only function would be to draw those numbers on the specified day it wouldn't have any effect at all on the test drawings, which would remain a function of the correct RNG program. Installing it could be as simple as inserting a flash drive, and letting Windows do its usual autoplay to run the executable installat

BOMBSHELL: MUSL employee might have rigged Hot Lotto computerized drawing
He did NOT buy a quick pick ticket. If you actually look at the convenience store security video, he handed the clerk a play slip with the numbers on it.
No news story ever said quick pick . They said the ticket was bought at Quik Trip.
He knew the numbers because he programmed the numbers in for the computer to pick in that drawing.
Investigators did not recover a program self-destructs and leaves no trace, but they have testimony he bragged about having such a program and they have ev

BOMBSHELL: MUSL employee might have rigged Hot Lotto computerized drawing
Lottery Post has been warning of the dangers of computerized drawings for over a decade, and now prosecutors of the mystery Hot Lotto winner from Iowa are looking at the possibility that those warnings have come true.
Prosecutors believe there is evidence indicating a former information-security director for a lottery vendor in Iowa tampered with lottery equipment before buying a Hot Lotto ticket that would go on to win $14.3 million, according to court documents filed Thursday.

How is this not a massive fraud by the Florida Lottery?
Interesting they changed the page, but didn't post any explanation. The reduced number of prizes could have just been simply a glitch. Or, perhaps, the Florida Lottery frequently quietly reduces ticket quantities / number of prizes, but for whatever reason that one slipped though. There's very little transparency regarding ticket manufacture, distribution, prize allocation, security, etc - a mystery leaving open many avenues of abuse...
Often there's little outside oversight of lotteries. In
