is anyone making an income from lottery
Laplace DID NOT provide us with a formula for what is commonly referred to as his demon, which is what I was referring to. Apparently, you didn't think readers here would be interested in more detail and background on Laplace's Rule of Succession, which is what YOU are referring to. This is your best attempt to date to obfuscate and discredit my posts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_succession Laplace used the rule of succession to calculate the probability that the sun will ri

is anyone making an income from lottery
Wow. I don't know what to say. Everything you said is so false that I can't even begin to respond. Just because there are two possible events, him being ahead or behind, that does not mean it's a 50/50 chance. As an analogy, if you flip a coin twice you can have either 2 heads, 2 tails or 1 of each. That doesn't mean that of the three options the odds of each occuring are 1/3, in fact, they are 1/4, 1/4 and 1/2. And I never said it's not possible I'm saying that it's not probable

P-3 "Repeats numbers" happen 4 or 5 per month
Hello WIN D, I value and appreciate all the statistical information you've been distilling over the past few threads or rather ever since you've been on the LP. You've often give my left-brain an excellent scrubbing. You've made an art of simplifying and communicating relevant analysis, so a drink or two from your statistical cup always goes down easy. I've never used odds, probabilities and statistics when making picks, because I'm still building my personal system, and to even use the most

What's the best lotto book?
Stack47, you said, The question should be, will knowing the truth behind the number encourage lottery players not to play or will they say 'how about that' and continue buying a dollar for a dream? Why should that be the question? It's rhetorical. As you've pointed out many times, the odds are posted at all the state websites, and people continue to play in spite of them. They play because they know they have a chance to win the jackpot if they do, and no chance if they don't. What I think

Are you a creature of habit when purchasing your lottery tickets?
https://www.lotterypost.com/news/168365 Interesting, but It's just a coincidence, not because the owners are good people. Lots of bad people have won JPs, so I don't buy that mumbo jumbo stuff. Again, the mainframe computer generates those Raffle tickets, and the article failed to mention whether the two big winners were QPs, or personal numbers chosen by the winners. If the winners were QPs, then the mainframe at another location chose them, and If It was personal numbers, well,

What's the best lotto book?
Say what! He hasn't won the Powerball jackpot ONCE much less 7 times. I am assuming this is a major typo. He was successful at snagging a few Fantasy 5 jackpots and Mega Money. Altogether he has yet to win ONE MILLION. You can articulate odds, chances, probability any way it makes you feel comfortable, it won't change the reality of the matter. I support being positive and focusing on achieving the goal, but knowing what you're up against isn't the same as fearing it. Dav

How often do NO digits return in next P-3 draw?
No thats false..... voodoo stuff. Plus, do you look at draw history at all? You would know that's crap if you looked at just a few draws for 4 or 5 mins. Working and Hoping to stay on subject here ....to help out the best we can with real odds and the real math of the game. Anything else is just stinkin' up the joint with superstition. anyway.....don't ya know it's bad luck to be superstitious ? I thank my lucky stars every day...that I'm not superstitious! LOL

Litigation Proofing your lottery pool
Paris, Texas is wonderful this time of year! Motel rates are a bit pricey, but you can get a good deal if you're staying for the week. IF the jackpot annuity is at 100m, the cash value would be around 64m. After you divided it up, it won't quite be a million dollars. Of course, if you charge them for gas, mileage, entertainment fees (your car radio) for the drive to the lottery headquarters, you may be able to close that gap. This is also assuming that your pool is the sole winner of the
