Do some number combinations have better odds?
When something completely outside the norm (re: more than three standard deviations off) it's worth the effort to make sure that there was no cheating. Assuming that nobody within the lottery commission cheats, they know the game is random. That's why once they found out a fortune cookie distributer put out those numbers - they paid everyone. Had they found that there was cheating going on the obviously would have done further investitgations to find out which players won fairly and which player

Texas All or Nothing
Little more data. It appears just as there is an average of 6 to 7 numbers to repeat from one draw to the next, there is also another 6-7 average of numbers chosen from Numbers being the same in Night and AM draws plus Numbers not in either of those draws. The average of numbers that are the same in both the Night and AM Draws seems to be 5 with a total of 13 for the last 35 Noon Draws. Followed by 6 with 9 and 7 with 5. Tomorrow there should be an odd amount of numbers in the AM draw that wi

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Again I'm not going to devote my time teaching you about gamblers fallacy. I assure you, because other players cannot affect the odds of any event, there play will hurt and help you equally. Have you taken the time to check how many times they hurt you against help you? Because other people have. Guess what. There play has no affect on yours. Like I said, if you can't stand to watch them take the dealers bust card (which isn't really a thing, because the next card could be any card that

Fallacies, and two REAL ways of improving your chances
I reread BobP's post and I fail to find anywhere in that post any mention of his website. I do believe that strategy is a valid strategy. It does not guarantee a jackpot or a win, but there is no doubt putting all the numbers in play at least betters the odds than just playing the same number of lines as QP's. That's all we really can do is try to better our chances when playing the jackpot games unless QP's are your thing. Nothing wrong with that either. But if I'm gonna drop 9 or 10 buck

Mathematics and the Lottery
I think most people think winning the lottery has to be done by using mathematical calculations simply because the lottery involves numbers. Personally I think they are looking in the wrong direction when all it takes is good, old fashion....Common Sense. A system can be created to win and it doesn't take math to do it. I created a system over 15 yrs ago for Pick 3 that if I could figure out the final step I could generate the EXACT 99.9% of the time. Had the system put into a software program.

FL Fantasy 5 for January 27
Result: 1-11-13-20-35 29 number group had all 5 numbers. 13 number group had 4 numbers: 10,13,20,35. First 40 number group had 12 matches, although without number 11. Second 40 number group had all 5 numbers, 5 matches. There are more odds than evens, as I suspected.

Playing $100 a month on Scratch Offs
I just started on scratchers about 6 months ago and I've been spending about that much per month too... So far, I've lost 77% of what I put in; yeah I've been keeping track. Dec/Jan have been terrible; actually down right ridiculous... no winners at all, not even a stinking free ticket from $1 to $20 tickets-ouch... what are the odds on that? Right now, I think I'm playing out of the shear, morbid curiosity of how long I can go without winning anything... I'll keep you posted! Good

NY Lotto adds only $300k now?!
So after last nite, and now that I see SM in a different light, I may start playing it a bit more It's only $5 to get free $3 QPs; not Take5's $10 get $3QP, or MM's $10 get $2QPs. Lotto is buy $5 get $2 QPs, with a jackpot of $14.2m(lump sum $9.2m), worth it to play Lotto not SM. SM is x4 MM's 2nd prize; now w/MP it's $2 for $1m, I dont see point of it as SM's $500 1:18815 and $40 1:456 is better than MM's and PB's lower prizes. As for PB's $2m for $3 - forget it! $3 of SM gives be

So far my theory on PB and MM has held true in 2013.
If PB reaches $1B I wont play as I sure dont want to be world famous for being the 1st one ever to hit it! Wont be good for anyone's health, family, and psyche. If its shared by 3 or 4, then ok, $250m each. However, be ready for beggars. But, yes, odds are the same. $250m - tax - lump sum = $100m. poor man's dough. For $2, no powerplay, $3 gives you $2m(2nd), $40k(3rd) not possible $50k for $2 before. Not for me. I'll stick with Lotto for 1:45m(2tix-$1) instead of 1 tix for $2.
