Do some number combinations have better odds?Reply
Playing 56 numbers on 12 lines reduces the odds a great deal. I have tried it with take 5, lotto, powerball and mega millions. I did not have any luck with it though. I like the shotgun approach because you increase your chances of winning without spending extra money. Saving $5 for 4 weeks allows you to play 20 lines in one shot without spending extra money. It takes discipline to seat out 4 drawings without playing, but I buy quick picks, so it does not matter if I seat out for 4 drawing

how did that work? Was it 1 line for each draw and then randomly produced 6 numbers matched to the next 6 randomly produced numbers? In order to get accurate result you need to use two completelly different random generators. And probably not 1 line, but at least couple of them, after all odds are 175mil. With the same rate succes you can match real drawings from previous to the next. And btw, 78years*52weeks*2draws*$2 = $16224 of total budget spend, and with that loosing only 8 grand

OK. did't realize you were in jersey, i know where lumberton is but never heard of lumerton. I just bought a JC5 to see what this is about you have to spend a xtra $1 to get a 2nd line of #s which is printed vertically on the ticket, then if 1 of the winning #s on the horizontal line also appears on the vertical line you win $10. my tic. says 1 in 14 will win, I think that refers to the odds of getting a win

When you look at this chart , what strategy should one adopt. Clearly the 7 is overdue and it's the first time it's been out for 61 draws. Should you stick with the 7 falling in the 3rd position? Frenchie, As a matter of fact that was RL' idea. The problem is the odds. It's crystal clear that if you select 15-17 filters and they are not in conflict with one another then you will get between 1 and 8 sets. How hard it is to achieve it shows CARBOB's setup. CARBOB is a very experienced user of DM and still you can see how hard it is to select correct values for more than 2-4 filters. My experience tells me that I'm able to hit 2-4 filter values max when I set them to 1 value only.

Agreed RJ. But most of the million dollar state games don't hit very often. My state features the Megabucks+ game which can take several months before the winning numbers ever come up. Same with my neighboring state of MA, with it's Megabucks Doubler. The pick 5 games are a different story, but most of those only hit between 25k-100k, depending on what state your in.
