Do some number combinations have better odds?
Excellent LottoBoner, I can see clearly now the rain is gone I can imagine its not so hard to see if your looking. I have a relative who decided to move to Florida. I was at his house one day and he was telling me that people there get stuck by lightning all the time. He said that most of the time it is because they are too stupid to realize that lightning can travel up the a mile and has a tendency to shoot out from approaching storm systems.......... Are you getting a mental picture he

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Look at all of the other characteristics. Did odds also come up exactly 41 times? How about all high? All low? I can almost garuntee (I really can't spell that word....) that they aren't all exactly 41 times. If they were, it'd seem kinda fishy to me. And if it's random, it can be exactly at expectation, it's just more likely to vary until it gets into thousands upon thousands of draws. Of course even after thousands of draws, I'd expect a very slight difference between e

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I understand what you are saying. I'm not try to prove that the draw is non-random....... I'm just trying to find a way to get BETTER ODDS. If I can do that on a consistent basis doss it really matter HOW? I don't care about fighting over who is right and who is wrong. My only interest is to find a BETTER way to WIN the prize.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Oh ok. I thought you were trying to say that you actually won. I'll just agree to disagree, then. I believe in the odds, so what happened to you was very positive variance, IMO. In other words, you got lucky. I'll tell you that one night, I wrote down a line for the MM, right after I turned 18. I didn't play it, but when I checked the numbers I had a 5+0. In one guess. I was very dissapointed, but the thing is, I didn't believe it was anything except random. I als

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Ok Ronnie. Keep living in your world. I'd like you to explain how you think that starting with arguement that you shouldn't play all even or odds, then concluding that you should, then saying you were going to play half of them, then not playing and all evens come out means that you hit 5 out of 5. You did not hit 5 out of 5, Ronnie. Even if you did play, there was a 50% chance that you would have. (Well I'm assuming you have the numbers written somewhere, and know if you would h

BILLION DOLLAR BLOCKBUSTER $1 million winner 6/14/2012 luck or...
Thats why I really like the store next to my work. I have mentioned on many of occasions. It is a husband and wife who I believe are Indian. If I ask him what he likes, he will tell me if someone just lost on a few. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesnt. I asked him why he doesnt buy them and he said he doesn't like to buy from his own store and doesnt think it is right. He said he will usually go buy from his friends store in Norristown. I know in PA they get 5% on all sales and a % of

Is there something in the water here? Why are Lottery Post members always so flippin' obsessed with bringing politics into everything? Even if you were correct about my political leanings -- which you're not -- that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the discussion at hand. Everybody thinks they've got the perfect system, but strangely enough, they all clam up when you ask them to show their results. Turns out that even the best systems lose much more money than they get back. With over 175

Do some number combinations have better odds?
EDIT: There's a line in the Powerball FAQ that states 70-80% of combos played are quick picks and 70-80% of winners are quick picks. This tells me that all of this effort to try and predict the winning numbers is a huge waste of time. This is EX-ACT-LY the kind of negitivism I'm talking about with LL. You and ky come on here with all your realism and tell people they are wasting their time trying to hit a JP. In realty you are just anti-capitalism, pro-government control. It is possible t

Wasted lottery spendings.. Try this!
I can understand if someone is losing $300 a month playing the lottery why they might be better off saving the money, but betting that savings on an even money wager just doesn't make any sense. It looks like the reason for betting the $300 in weekly installments on PB and MM in the first place was to win millions or even $10,000. Betting $300 to win $300 isn't even in the same ballpark with betting $300 several times to win millions. People play lottery games because of the payoff odd and ve

How can I be such a loser!!
Just to clear things up, my posts aren't to discourage anyone from taking a shot at the PB, oaky. I like to see when people win because the odds are almost infinitely against the players. My point is to try and help players understand the value of their money and to spend it wisely on this game. Yeah, they raised the price of it without warrant, in my opinion, but that doesn't mean not to play. You'll just have to settle for less lines. As I've said before, I've come within (1) to (2) numbers
