$250 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot ramps up
The PB record isn't really $365 milion. Those winners (like almost all winners) took the cash value. Interest rates at that time were a lot higher, and the cash value was just under $180 million. With todays interest rates the cash value will pass that at about $270 million. Unless sales are far lower than they expect, a roll will probably push it well beyond that. At $2 we don't know what changes we'll see with the people who aren't really lottery players but take a chance when it gets really b

I just dont understand!?!?!
LOL, Rdgrnr, don't think 'cheap, think thrifty. Don't think tightwad, think highly discriminating.
My $300 is for all lotteries for the year, including state lotto and the state pick-5. As I understood it (and I might not have it right, as I haven't seen his direct statement) Mister Floyd said he'd only spend about $20 on Powerball this year. I might not spend any more than that on Powerball myself now that they raised the price! I considered dropping Powerball altogether, but will probably

I just dont understand!?!?!
There are two levels to this nonsense.
The first are the people who don't play until the prize is above a set amount. As if they would turn down mere millions to wait until their prize size requirements can be met. This would make sense if they were putting money away for the big push, more likely they will buy a ticket.
The second are the gambling experts who apply a formula of waiting until the prize approximates the odds or above to get what they consider full value return on t

It's ok ..... I figured it out.
Glad I did too.....if I ever start playing on a regular basis it will save a ton over time. Keep me from making really bad odds bets.
Go back to sleep. LOL

Thanks, Wpb!
Hoping to build it a little more today but who knows...it's all a guessing game!
I played all of the trips for some dumb reason!...plus a few I mentioned last night odds ends...
Good luck to you everybody!
We'll know in a few minutes.

supercash self pick
All lottery games appear to evade the numbers most everybody picks. That's the way they're designed. They're not supposed to be won a lot. If they were, they wouldn't be around long. The odds are against you and everybody else equally based on similar bets.
There have been cases of players being cheated out of winnings too though.
Tennessee, for example, right after they switched over from real ball drawings to fake computer drawings was caught cheating players.
So you are much

Question.
If my 200 Groups are made up of 3 of more of the same numbers hitting more than once and these groups make up 90.99% of the total drawings in the time frame specified; what are your odds of hitting your numbers if they are not in one of my groups? Just something to think about.

P.S. - Just another reason why I do not play Quick Picks. (Personal opinion).
Good Luck Best Wishes To ALL.

Winners of at least $1,000
Brother, I wish I knew where those winners are in GA... And here in TN too. Any state really.
I think you are on the rite track with keeping records. I know it's tiresome but maybe one day you will have an aha! moment that ties it all together.
Have you tried doing a scatter gram of your geographical area to view where and when your and/or other big winners are? Might be able to see some patterns.
Most I've won is $1000 about a year ago at a Publix. Some on this site have recom

Thank you for your input.
I am not saying that it is winning. In fact, that is what my post is about: it doesn't win more than standard odds. I am getting a prediction rate for one number between 1% and 7% but that is still far below the 10% that one would think would be correct.
I would be happy to post predictions for people, but it took me about two days (10+ hours) to read and write all of the numbers into a text document that I could read. If people would like to volunteer and provide

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
All the live draws arent exactly live as we are led to believe ....they are taped....with all those pre-draws it seems as if the state lotteries can release what combination they want that has the lowest amount of payout....
there is no need to test the machines 4-6 times for every drawing because it isnt like the machines are likely to break down and if they did break down it would occure during the pre-draws...... this nonsense that people post about testing the machines is a load of bunk a
